Like all Darden Restaurants, this one lived up to their high standards. The atmosphere was casual and fun. We enjoyed cocktaiks by the firepit before going inside to dine. The food is always good and we all enjoyed our selections. Our waitress Tracie was pleasant and accommodating. Bahama Breeze is always a fun place to enjoy a meal.

Been there 3 times this year. Wide variety of choices of food, but very good seafood. Food prices are fair, but wine prices are high. Gets busy during high season.

I dropped into the Fort Myers Bahama Breeze just before closing with a companion. She had Mahi-Mahi with orange salsa and I had habanero wings. The Mahi-Mahi was great with a good portion and delicious salsa topping.

The wings were another story. The habanero wings were barely warm and they were tough. I think that the issue was that we were eating at closing time. The wings were probably what was left over at the end of the day and they might have been prepared before the Mahi-Mahi and sat while that fish dish was prepared. On the up side, the order of 10 wings was more like 18 which is, I think, more evidence that these were what were left over at the end of the day.

So we had one plus and one minus - unfortunately for restaurant dining the two don't even out. Overall I have to give this dinner an unsatisfactory rating.

Just by accident, we arrived at Bahama Breeze during happy hour on our way to a Twins Spring training game. While we were disappointed not to be able to enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the patio due to the "first come first serve" seating on the patio (which led to people getting rather aggressive in order to secure a table), we were not disappointed in the service, the food and the value. The happy hour half price appetizers we chose were onion rings which were a wonderful splurge. We both had burgers which were big enough to share between 2 people. The frozen Bahamarita was a delightful frozen concoction.

My only suggestion would be to have the servers seat people at the patio tables also, rather than have customers fending for themselves for a patio table.

Get to Bahama Breeze early! When we left at about 6:00 p.m. there were crowds of people waiting!
