I rate La Casita a C. Nothing creative or unique about the basic Mexican fare offered here. Atmosphere is uber casual. There are extremes of above average to below. Margaritas are served in plastic hurricane glasses - - weird and tacky. Service was highly attentive was a plus, but being greeted by a shout across the dining room to seat ourselves wasn't. Guacamole is tasty, heavy lime flavor. Surprised the tamale isn't offered as an appetizer, only as an entree special on Wednesday; they're dense in texture and weak on flavor. Husband had the enchiladas - - average. Portions sizes are large, expect to take some home. Chips/salsa table service is limited to 2 complimentary rounds, after which they charge for it - - which tells me they must have had a lot of "free loader" experience to have to implement the policy. A personal first - - sour cream side to entrees is a served in single serving, sealed package, like ketchup in a drive-thru.
Doubtful I'll be back.
