We had a great time at Twins Spring Training at Hammond Stadium!
The game we went to was at 7:05 p.m. We have small children, so we decided to go extra early, since we knew we would be leaving before the end of the game.
We arrived around 3 p.m. and were able to buy standing room only tickets at the ticket window for $10 a piece. (This was all that was available. Opening weekend might have been a reason for this, but if we could do it again, we would have bought tickets in advance.)
Batting, pitching, and field practice was already underway, and you could stand or sit in bleachers outside the stadium itself to watch. (No ticket needed.) This was a great opportunity to see the players close up, and for our boys too get autographs.
By 5 p.m. the practice had moved on to the field inside the stadium. This was also a great opportunity to be close to the dug-outs and interact with the players.
Food prices were as expected for a ball park. Hot dogs were running $3.25 and a beer was $6.
It was a great family experience, especially if you are Twins fans.
