Description: Tramontana's Italian Grille is a dream turned reality for the Tramontana family. For generations, the family recipes have been lovingly prepared, and passed down. John has always had a passion for cooking, and sharing his recipes with friends and family. His dishes always draw praise, and are always the hit at every party. At the end of 2011, the family had an opportunity to open a restaurant, and in January 2012 Tramontana's Italian Grille opened their doors. Their dream came true. Now everyone can enjoy the Tramontana family recipes 7 nights a week, from their signature marinara, to delicious pizza. Johnny's famous shrimp and asparagus, to his mouth watering meatballs! Gluten free? Not a problem! John took that into consideration, and offers his customers gluten free spaghetti & pizza crust upon request. Vegetarian? No worries, there are plenty of menu options for you as well. We hope to see you soon at Tramontana's Italian Grille. From our family to yours - Mangia!

“Very Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

I am not sure who would rate this place higher than one star. The atmosphere is like you are eating in a retirement home cafeteria. Plastic plants and flowers on the tables with vinyl table cloths? Dusty light fixtures and unattentive staff. The food was absolutely tasteless, the sauce was like Ragu. Then of course there are the prices which are insanely high for such low quality food.

I've had a hard time trying to understand this review was actually trying to say, but I found several clues to the true basis for their disappointment. Comments about the restaurant décor, the price of entrees, and the taste of the food give the wrong impression of the restaurant. We have been in business for over 2 years and have many more 4 and 5 star reviews than 1's so those comments are strictly masking what I believe the true reason for their disappointment. I believe the inattentive staff comment is the main reason the person took their valuable time to write the review. The restaurant was busy that night and it is very possible that these diners didn't receive the amount of attention they felt they deserve. For this, I apologize. They may even had to wait additional time to receive their food. This, again is possible. We make every meal to order using only the freshest products available. There are no inventories of sauces on hand waiting to be heated up and poured over a meal. They are made from scratch and sometimes that takes additional time. Every pasta is sautéed in its sauce as the last step of meal preparation to ensure the meal is hot and the pasta has an opportunity to absorb the sauce which adds to the fullness of the flavor. If this is not what you're expecting, it can lead to frustration. I'm sorry that we did no live up to these diner's expectations. Perhaps, you'll let us try again.

Living in the Shores, we are hoping to find a locally run above average restaurant. This definitely was not it. We generally enjoy sitting at the bar. I feel it gives you a good overview of everything from service to the food coming out. On a recent Friday, we decided to give them a try for their happy hour. We are not worried about cost as much as service and food quality. The bartender offered us their martini special by pointed at the flavored vodkas on the shelf, no further explanation. My wife ordered a Stoli Martini on the rocks. She received it up, no big deal. However, a one dollar upcharge for the lack luster show. I played it safe with an Absolut and tonic, while they free pour, a very weak cocktail indeed. All the while the bartender was engrossed in watching the Zimmerman verdict.

We decided to order an antipasto and fried calamari. Presentation of the antipasto was impressive as was the cost $16. Grossly over charged for the portion. The calamari serving was very sparse, over cooked with barely lukewarm marinara. On a good note, the marinara had wonderful flavor. Deciding to give one more try, we asked the bartender about their pizza. She stated they were all good. We ordered a Juniors White Pie to go. The description was Vine ripened tomatoes, mozzarella, ricotta, basil, and garlic. Well their crust is very good. four grape tomatoes cut in half, ricotta that was spread on so thin, dried basil, if there was garlic there was no flavor. The result was a tasteless pie. From this experience, I will stay away.

“Wedding Rehearsal Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

If you are looking for great food & service, then look no further.
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful.
We had a large group of approx. 45 people, everyone loved the food, and we had great service.
The owner is very personable and the staff was very friendly.
If you want fabulous Italian food at a great price, then look no further.
We were very happy with Tramontana's and glad we chose them for our special occasion.
Thank you :)

At the end of a nice weekend of fishing the upper Caloosahatchee River we stopped at Tramontana's on Palm Beach Blvd on our way back into town. I always try to find a locally owned restaurant that the locals patronize when I travel and that explains how I found Tramontana's.

They are located in a strip shopping center almost next to the Publix. They don't appear to have been open very long but their approach and location remind me a lot of one of my favorite spots up in Lutz, Florida called Splash, an Ocean Grille. When you have a nice locally owned, reasonably priced restaurant, next to a Publix it will draw in the local crowd and spots like this are exactly what the traveler wants. Local flavor, local people, something different than the chains that seem to overpopulate these tourist towns.

Our server was Sherri. She typically works at the nearby country club and because she has boundless energy also works here. It was a real treat to come in at a time when the restaurant wasn't very busy because I get a chance to chat up the staff more than if they were in the middle of the dinner hour rush.

We had a leisurely dinner that took almost two hours and I packed away more Stella Artois than I normally do just because I enjoyed this place so much.

They are on Open Table and are easy to find if you use the big tall Publix as a landmark.

Highly Recommended and well worth the trip.
