“New Local Fave”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

This museum was a lot of fun to check out. There are so many things to see here, including a Pullman car and Cracker house replica. The Clyde Butcher photography exhibit was quite impressive, although the permanent collection will have me back again. I highly recommend all locals and visitors to have an afternoon at this museum. The comfortable air-conditioned atmosphere makes this a perfect summer stop!

“Good view of the history of SW Florida”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

Leisurely stroll through the museum kept us engaged in almost every exhibit, reading about the history of this area. Mostly reading, much of it about objects that are otherwise unrecognizeable. The cracker house and train car additions brought us to almost a two hour visit.

“Museum is a small gem in downtown Fort Myers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

We weren't expecting much of anything, especially with the tacky mural at the start of the museum, but it was interesting. Housed in the old train station, lots of different exhibits, with a real pullman car you get a key to enter and a cracker house outside. Good little museum for a rainy day.
