“One of the best downtown Ft Myers restaurants in the river district”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

Visited during the boat show, ate lunch outside. Two in our party had the burger and they declared it best in town. Two had chicken quesidillas that were very tasty. Good wine selection. We will go back again

“A very good restaurant with a Price Fixe Option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The food here is excellent, if a little on the high side. The staff were efficient and knowledgeable. The Price Fixe menu was great if you want a lot to eat. It includes salad, entree and dessert and is a good deal. The house wine is very good. The grouper is the best I've ever had. I will be going back.

“interesting & tasty food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

A very lovely experience. Our first time here my wife, a friend and I.

We really liked the minimalist decor with large almost Andy Warhol type pictures of Marilyn Monroe on walls and small lights hanging down over tables.

First, the service was excellent. We ordered white wine and the server knew not to fill the glasses so the wine warms up. He poured about 2 inches and was attentive so when it became low he was there to refill.

First, we shared two appetizers: roasted oysters, and baby back ribs - both delicious. The oysters had spinach, tasso, and a light cream sauce - great! The ribs were perfect, meat almost fell off the bone. And they were served with a zucchini salad, with vinegar dressing.

My dinner was pan seared black grouper sitting on top of mango, corn and some other herbs etc in a light sauce and topped with beer battered onion rings. Great dinner. My wife and guest both had the salmon which was cooked as ordered. My wife's well done and our friend's medium.

Unfortunately we had tickets for a show and did not have time for dessert.

Can't wait for our next visit.

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

We (2 couples) ate dinner at Yanos First Street Restaurant 2 weeks ago and we were all very pleased. We went there because I had purchased a Groupon for this restaurant. Because it is off season right now, the restaurant was offering 1/2 price on all appetizers. We ordered 6 appetizers and 3 dinner entrees. After loving everything, we were told that my groupon coupon would not work ($40 worth of food for $20). That was a bit of a disappointment because the coupon sat on the table so that the server could see it ahead of time but we were not told till the end of meal. If we had only ordered appetizers, I could understand their reasoning but this was not the case. Our server was very nice and efficient and our food was delicious. Food is also presented beautifully and their house white wine was very good. The house wine was also half price before 6:30 pm so it was $3.50 a glass instead of $7.00.

“Average not worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I came here with my family for a nice dinner, 3 adults and 1 child. They do not provide any high-chairs or boosters, this is not a place to bring children, or families. What a big disappoint!!! I should of left and went somewhere else when we were told this, but we stayed. The food was good but not spectacular. The prices of all their entrees are quite pricey to say the least. The service was poor. Our waiter was slow and not very attentive. It was also a turn-off seeing our waiter all sweaty, yuck. Not worth the money, or time spent waiting here. Go somewhere else.
