“This Is Where The Locals Eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

When this gargoyle of a figures goes out on a hunt for food, ambiance and presentation take a back seat to value and taste.Jimmy the proprietor has the personality of a dried sardine. Not to say that he is nasty or gruff by any means. But man do you get great food and great value. My favorite is his fish.Being someone who likes anything fried I crunch down on his light whitefish .His prices are the best value in the area for what you get in terms of very high quality food. While the place is a locals joint most of the Floridian locals I have met were very friendly types.I never go to the Fort Myers beach without having first chowed down at Jimmy's.Jimmy's only weakness is his fried potato logs.I think he bakes dozens of potatoes and if they don't get used up he makes them into a Jimmy Wedge(deep fired of course) They have the taste of grease.Jimmy if you read this review take the old potato, dice it,kosher salt, pepper and a coating of olive oil,put them into a CAST IRON pan, roast at 350 for 35 minutes, and you have a taste treat. Also one last thing i like about Jimmy is he is plump.Plump owners =good food.

“Great Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2012

Nothing fancy for sure. But do you want good service and good food at terrrific prices, then go here. How about their bar special. $1.00 for a 12 ounce draft. Heck, even if you don't eat you can fill up on beer for $5 bucks. I had the Grouper sandwich and it was great. My wife had the Philly steak and she loved it.

“got there at 145pm”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

To the point. Too busy at that time and wait staff was a party of one. My grouper sandwich was good but they were out of the kaiser roll. They only had breads which disappointed. My spouse had the fish basket. Lots of fish and good hot fries. Service was lacking but the food made up for it.

“Roadside Experience! Nor really Living up to Cadillac Standards.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2011 via mobile

Classical American-style roadside Place with some Tables Outside On Veranda and inside Bar and Tables.
Service is excellent, you feel welcome. Food is ok, but Nothing Special. Rather inexpensive though.
Washrooms (Male and female) definitely Need some upgrading.
For price-sensitive Folks Good buy, for Ambience-sensitive Folks, you may want to Check Out firstly.

“Friday Night Fish Fry - Great Little Dive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2011

Love their Friday night fish fry. The use Basa fish, which I'd never heard of, but I like it more than Groupon for the fish fry; really smooth. They use a light batter and the fish is moist. On Friday's it's all-you-can-eat for $9.95. You can also get all-you-can eat deep-fried shrimp, which is really good. Their grouper fingers basket is great too. I tried the AYCE bar-b-que ribs Tuesday for $8.95, but was very disappointed in the number of pieces of white tendon (???) that I had in my ribs. My husband didn't have as many, Maybe it was the part of the ribs I had. Their Sunday brunch is a must do. Nothing fancy but it's AYCE for only $6.95!!! It's about 3 miles from Fort Myers Beach so if you're in the area I'd suggest you stop by.
