We had read the reviews and knew to get there early or a little later. We opted for later and couldn't have been happier. This is an old converted beach-style cottage on a side street. Unassuming unless you know what you are looking for. We took the trolley up from the south end to their location. Read all the signs both for some humor and for information. Grab a menu, go inside and get a drink out of the old fridge, place your order and give your name and go sit down. They bring your meal, you enjoy and then you pay. Seating is limited both inside and on the small porch. We enjoyed the porch despite a chilly February breeze. We both had a fried chicken breast on a biscuit smothered in down home sausage gravy. What a great meal to start the day. The biscuits had a slightly sweet taste, the chicken a bit of spice and the gravy was savory/peppery perfection. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!
I have dreams of returning to Fort Myers Beach and this place is a major reason why.
