“New quality hotel - too bad it is in a remote location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2011

Stayed at the Hyatt Place Fort Myers for three nights and booked in advance via hotwire for about $72. The hotel is located in a new development called The Forum but there is nothing much to see or do around the hotel. Restaurants and shops are a short drive away.

This hotel is your typical Hyatt Place. We stayed in the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderale some monhts back and it was exactly the same experience. The layout of the lobby, rooms etc. was exactly the same. Very modern and very clean. The rooms/suites are divided into bedroom and living room area. There are small fridges in the rooms but no microwaves. Huge plasma TV !.

The hotel offers a free continental breakfast and has a small gym and small outdoor pool. Gym was busy and all excercise machines were taken unless you start your workout at 6 a.m. in the morning. Breakfast area was not too busy and all items were always available.

Would stay here again if I were in the area. This is not a resort hotel but caters mostly to business guests.

I've read reviews on this place and some don't do it justice! Yes, there is construction surrounding the hotel but if you go out of the parking lot and head south for 1-2 yes only 2 miles you will find a retail area with a Target, Home Depot and several place to eat. Yes GOOD places to eat (we've tried most of them) like Buffalo Wild wings, A mexican place with AWESOME food, five guys fries, subway etc. It literally takes 2 minutes or less to get there and if you go to the next stoplight after the retsil area it will take you to Colonial Boulevard which will thake you ANYWHERE (beaches, shopping, restaurants, etc) in Ft Myers. So if you want an awesome hotel with HUGE rooms that IS convenient, check out this hotel. The staff is awesome and yeah they run out of things here and there but they are right on top of it to fill it back up. The hotel is very quiet and the beds are awesome. They have a "galley" with food and DELICIOUS desserts if you don't feel like going anywhere at REASONABLE prices. They are very accomodating here if you are looking for a great place to stay. The only downfall I could find was that the picture on there website showed a huge pool and hot tub. The pool is Ok sized and Very warm and there is NO hottub. Don't hesitate to stay here REALLY! (:

I had a few adventures finding this location off the highway thanks to some recent construction, but the staff was helpful and efficient, the room was clean and quiet, and I was especially glad for the galley downstairs since the nearest dining option was a Chilis about a 10-minute drive away. I can't say much for the location, as it's plopped in a half-built suburb, but the amenities, staff, and service are just what I expected out of a Hyatt place (in a good way).

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Place at Fort Myers. I loved the hotel decor and the friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were clean and very elegant. Very worth the price.

Thank you for making our stay a wonderful time.

This hotel is an awesome value for budget minded family of 4. The decor is awesome. The price was great and cannot be beat! (A hyatt hotel for less than $100!!!) surrounding area is still developing. The cafe food is a great conveinence for a family with children. Rooms are spacious. Kids can sleep on beds and parents can do their reading/work in adjacent sitting room. Only negative was the placement of the flat screen tv - wish it was more able to turn towards the sitting area. Overall - will definitely recommend and go again - no doubt !!

Pros: awesome shower and bathroom area. Bed was super comfortable using Seely mattresses. Huge flatscreen TV. This is a new large hotel right next to I-75. About 10 minutes to downtown Ft. Myers, but about 30 min to Ft. Myers Beach.

Cons: There are about 5 floors, so waiting or the elevator is a pain, but very minor. Not really close to anything except interstate.
