“A Piece of History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

This is a good place to take your family to see some of how America spent their free time. The grounds are well maintained and have lots of trees and foliage planted by the original owners. It's easily walkable but didn't notice a lot of handicap accessible areas for the exhibits. Maybe on the opposite side of the buildings? The exhibits are well done and either a self guided tour with a hand phone or a traditional guided tour are offered. (There is a $5 difference in price.) It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to see the exhibits depending on speed/crowds. The place is a little hard to find by the directions on their website. I mapped it myself and found a better route. Nice day out as we had river breezes to temper the heat.

“Don't Miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

This beautifully restored property is a must see. Take a trip into the past, when all things seemed possible and people like the Fords, Edisons and Firestones were making them happen.

“Good place to take the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

You'll learn a lot about these two industrial giants of the early 20th Century. The exhibits are well planned, and the gardens and house furnishings are well worth seeing. We purchased a family membership, because we plan to return a lot.

“Genius”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Edison and Ford's homes are very interesting. Their passion for invention and industry is very apparent. Spend the morning on the self guided tour then go through the museums when it gets hotter. So much to see A real glimpse into a different era.
