So, the cold Wisconsin weather was driving us crazy and we decided to hop on a plane and spend a couple days in Ft. Myers. The Homewood Suites is so nice! The free shuttle bus picked us up at the airport and drove us anywhere we wanted to go during our stay! We didn't even have to rent a car! Since this was a short stay, and we'd been to the ocean lots of times, we just relaxed by the pool, shopped at the mall and outlet center and enjoyed the beautiful breakfast and dinners provided right at the hotel. I work for a major airline and we do ALOT of traveling, but, honestly, anytime we can we choose Homewood Suites. We have never, ever, ever had a bad experience with them! (This is our second time staying at this particular hotel this winter) Oh, yes, the beds and pillows are heavenly!!! (It entered my mind to take a pillow home with me, but I didn't ofcourse...) Oh, another cool thing, The Homewood Sutes and Garden Hilton are right by each other and you may use either pool and workout center. The Hilton has a hot tub. They're just a stone's throw from each other. We went back and forth to both...

Clean spacious suite, good service and strong internet service. The pool is not optimally positioned for sunbathing. About half of the poolside lounge chairs were ripped. Try get a room away from the west side, which tends to get noisy thanks to the neighboring Soda Distribution facility.

I stayed here for three weeks, and I have to say compared to any other hotels Ive been to this one was by far the best in town!! The service was amazing not to mention the rooms were first class rooms. They had a home like feeling. One of my favorite services was the complementary food in the afternoons and also the breakfast. Everyone at the Homewood suites treated me with respect and with a great smile. They always remembered my name and room which made me feel like they care about me. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone I know who would be going to ft Myers!

We arrived before check-in and our room was not ready. We changed from our cold-weather clothes into our beach clothes in the spacious lobby bathrooms, and then left our luggage at the hotel so that we could go to the beach until later in the afternoon.
The hotel is located near the airport, a shopping center and I-75. This was convenient because it saved drive time during our vacation. We stocked our cupboards on the first night of our stay so that we had afternoon and evening snacks. The breakfast and weeknight dinners had a nice variety.
Our room was cleaned promptly each day, and they even ran the dishwasher for us. Our son slept on the sofa bed, and didn't complain at all about it being uncomfortable. Each room had its own temperature control, and the bedroom also had a ceiling fan.
The outdoor pool was clean and heated, there were a couple lounge chairs that need to be replaced, but otherwise the outside area was inviting. The hotel has a laundry facility which includes two washers and dryers costing $1.50 per load.The business center was stocked with a printer, two computers, stapler, paperclips, post-it notes and tape. There was also an airport check-in computer terminal available so that we could check our flight status as needed.
