“Nice park and educational”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

If you want to learn details about manatee then you need to visit the Manatee park. The park has no entrance fee however they charge you with a parking fee (cash only!) which is in fact both entrance and parking fee. We have visited the park in mid of March and had bad luck that day. No manatee in sight for hours. I can recommend this park also for children as there is also onsite entertainment for children and teenager by showing videos about manatee and employees from the park explaining details about manatee.

“Nature and more nature!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Go here if you want a real, valuable education about Manatees and more. Low key and "the real deal".

“pleasant park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

nice stop if you are in the area, would not travel a great distance just for this attraction. small charge for parking. It is the place to see manatees up close.

“Great if you are there in the winter months”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

Actually man made area for manatee migration due to the warm water runoff from near by power plant. Manatees can only survive in temps of 68 degrees and higher. Natural warm spring runoffs are where manatees migrate to but power plants are tricking them and causing problems. Best experience would be the Homosassa Springs State Park in January...about an hour half north of Fort Myers.

“Nice little park.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Nice little park. The only cost is for parking and I find that very reasonable for a park that offers glimpses of nature sometime unexpected, if you aren't paying attention, and other time completely mesmerizing.
