“Would rather sleep in my car”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

Nail clippings on bed when I walked in. Holes in bed sheets/comforter. Pillow cases didn't look washed in fact there was a stain. Rooms smell horrible. Wooden floors don't look clean. ALLLLL the furniture is dirty with dark stains. Light fixtures don't even work. Have 4 lamps in room and only one works. Maybe that's the whole point- make it as dark as possible so you don't see all the stains and dirt. Bathtub has stains and doesn't look clean. Closet door missing. I mean, really?? Everything looks second grade. Handed down. Kid you not- Looks like furniture came from garage sale. Fitted sheet on bed wasn't even fitted sheet. Was a loose sheet with corners folded into a bow to make it look fitted. WHAT THE HECK. overall very uncleanly and unkempt. Pretty sure nothing on the bed or bathtub is washed.

We are sorry about your bad experience. We can only think that you got, as we were fully booked, one of the condominium units. We have acquired all of them and we are finishing its conversion to integrate them in our hotel operation. if you ever need a hotel in this area again, we hope that you will give us another chance and you will be impress with the changes, as well as you will enjoy our competitive prices.

I have stayed in a plethora of hotels all throughout the country. This place is by far, bar none, the absolute worst "vacation resort" known to man. If anything it should be condemned. I had read the reviews but decided to book it anyway for the price and location (close to I95) - I really wish I wouldn't had. Stayed there for a couple of days with my boyfriend for a mini getaway - tried to spend as least time as possible in the place. It's dirty, outdated, not to mention the smells!!!!! We were told there was an ice machine on every floor, they failed to mention that none of them actually worked. Furniture was dirty and stained. Hallways looked like something out of a horror movie. Found little roaches in the bathroom. I am from Florida so I can sure as hell tell the difference between palmetto bugs and roaches. None of the elevators worked. I could go on forever. Just an overall horrible experience in all honesty. If I could point out ONE positive it'd be the nice staff at check-in. Don't do it, don't book it. You'll thank me I promise you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made reservations for business trip and was very disappointed. Room was smelly and outdated. Not what would be expected at a "3 Star" hotel. Listing on hotels.com was very misleading. Had to deal with it but never again. Even though management is insisting in other reviews that work is in progress to upgrade. Got impression that there are people living in hotel. Beware.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and had a good time. The staff was very nice and food was great. Chef Corey, his staff and Gina in the gift shop were very helpful when we needed something. Unfortunately the pool was down for repairs but the beach was a bus ride away.

The room was large and clean. We enjoyed the balcony with views over the golf course. Food was good and inexpensive for the amount and quality. The Staff is very personable and friendly and was very helpful. Great tennis ambiance where we enjoyed plying with others that stayed at the hotel. Big improvements from my last visit. Recommend if you are looking for a nice accommodation at a very good price.

Thank you for the time you took to inform other Guests about our Resort. We very much value your comments. The new tennis Academy with its WTA and ITF players for sure give an attractive ambiance. We probably will soon see some of this girls at tournament level. We are positioning ourselves as the best value on town pricewise until we complete the renovations.
We have simplify the Menus of our Restaurants so they are affordable and appealing to the international variety of our Guests.
Hope to see you soon back on our Resort

The staff has been outstanding, the room impeccable, and the food delicious. This hotel was a great choice for the price and I hope to return some day. If I had to complain about something, it would be the broken elevator, but two of them are still fully functioning so it's not too important. Overall an excellent experience. Thank you, Inverrary Hotel, for helping make my stay in South Florida even more enjoyable!

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate the time you took to write this kind words. Due the new elevator County regulations, we had to bring the elevators to the new safety regulations and so far we have finished with the upgrades of two of the elevators and are doing the third one which should be completed shortly. Hope to see you back soon.

First impression of the property is a big red HOTEL sign on the roof, the scraggily landscape and the dirty, trashy parking lot. Go to the three lobby elevators and discover that only two work and only one has buttons that illuminate when pushed. When we arrived on our floor I thought that I had time travelled back to an older Las Vegas hotel; garish carpet, stale smoke odor throughout the floor and the voices through the doors.
Once into the room we can see where the walls are peeling, the wood parquet flooring has ¼ inch gaps between slats and there is dirt, dust and hair on the floor. The bathtub is chipped and we can hear the couple “talking” next door as the headboard smacks against the wall like a metronome in a piano class.
We try to connect to the free internet only to find out that it is more reminiscent of a dial up modem that continually displays a “limited or no connectivity” message. We called the Front Desk to inquire what was going on and was told that if we can’t connect to just bring your computer down to the lobby and try there!
To say that the housekeeping was lax would be generous. My wife accidentally flicked some mascara onto the bathroom mirror and three days later, it’s still there. See the attached picture of the “clean” coffee cup that was offered for our use. I’m sure that the dried coffee on the dirty cup was meant to be “seasoning” to enhance the flavor. The housekeeper actually left the coffee maker on the room table with a dirty coffee cup on it after cleaning the room. Maybe she thought we we’re going to come back for a refill?
Overall, Inverrary Resort is no better than the worst roadside Motel 6 you’d find in the most remote part of Mississippi. If they claim that they are a 3-star hotel, they stole those stars!
