My family and I stayed at the Amerisuites on the 10th St for 1 night prior to our cruise at the end of July, 2007. The location is terrific! Very convenient to shops, resturants, Sun Trolley. The shuttle service to Port Everglades was great as well. However the service, rooms and breakfast left much to be desired.
Check-in was very perfunctory. Not a welcome, smile or thank you - basically here is your room and key.
The rooms are in the process of being renovated - the top 3 floors were closed. Only un-renovated rooms are currently available and trust me they need work! Although clean, the furniture and accessories are very worn and damaged. Paint peeling off the walls, tile chipped and cracked, carpet stained. The bed however was comfortable.
Breakfast was typical stale continental. They did have eggs but they didn't look very appetizing - I believe they were freeze-dried. The adverstised belgian waffle was not available - broken waffle iron.
In any event for the rate we paid and for our needs it served its purpose. A clean room and a great location for 1 night.
