After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical, I had a preconceived notion that my wife had really messed up this time but that wasn't at all the case. The parking spaces are a little tight, but I didn't have any trouble getting in and out with my long-bed crew-cab truck and nobody dinged my doors or anything like that. The staff were all very courteous, the suite was absolutely spotless, and the whole area was just great. The construction on either side was hardly noticeable from a noise standpoint and they've gone out of their way to make both sites as invisible as possible. Lulu's at the mall downstairs is excellent, get a table overlooking the beach. Go fishing with Flamingo fishing, about a block from the hotel. The one thing that really struck me was the way the sun dropped behind the building about 4:00. The pool area and the courtyard at the mall were in the shade at that point and really inviting places to hang out.

I was told that there would be a parking fee when we booked, but never was informed about the labyrinth that they pass off as a garage. It is a public garage with the upper floors belonging to the hotel. It took us 15 minutes each day just to leave the property. The area surrounding the hotel was filthy and there is a very active construction site next door. The rooms were tacky and the bathrooms, although new, looked as if they were twenty years old. The staff was pleasant, but the property was definitely not worth the $200-plus that we spent. The 'outdoor mall' that is adjacent to the resort is full of cheesy restaurants -Hooter's is among them. That area is also in need of a serious bath. The hallways leading to the hotel from this 'mall' reminded me of the L Train in Manhattan... in July. We will not be returning.

For $300 per night for 2 bedroom villa, plus taxes we were disappointed. For starters checkin on Friday was horrible. Not only did we wait at the elevator from garage to lobby for 1/2 hr or more but rooms were'nt ready at checkin time. One of our rooms wasn't ready till 7PM for 4PM checkin. We also had confusion during checkin and were given keys to occupied room. You can't even get a cart for luggage if you checkin at checkin time be prepared to wait. The garage is so narrow and confusing you'll not get the hang of it until you leave. We also had a mini van and left with some damage since turns are difficult with large vehicle. Service was not terribly friendly nor helpful. Noise is high and don't think we'd stay here again. They keep trying to sell you the vacation club which is also annoying. Other than location, this hotel needs a lot of improvement considering price

Did a T/S exchange in March 2005 for Marriott in June. Could not get a 2 BDrm with short notice had to settle for efficiency. Room was not ready when we arrived (ready at 7 p.m.) but that was ok, we went and ate and came back. Efficiency surprisingly was ok for 1 week with 2 adults and 2 kids (2 Boys 8/4). Fridge big enough for soda, 2 1/2 gallon size milk, water, couple frozen items. Room had microwave, toaster and coffee pot. Bathrooms were clean as was the room in general. Stayed on ocean side, great view but not sure where the people were in the previous entry, it IS noisy. The live music in the courtyard below goes on most nights until 4:00 a.m. there are several bars directly below at beach level and they stay open till 4:00 a.m.. Construction next door starts at around 7 a.m. Keeping your balcony door open to sleep will work if you are a hard sleeper, otherwise with it shut and some white noise makers you can drown out the sounds below. Has a kids club that closes early (5 p.m. most days) they have a kids night out, so parents can go out but only kids 5 and up can participate. Pool is in shade most of day but warm enough. Tunnel to beach is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. so that helps you not have to cross traffic to get to the beach. Most of hotels in the area are across the street from the ocean, so you won't get much better elsewhere. Lots of shopping and food but if any one in your family has a peanut allergy, beware, Max's on the beach & Cheeburger cheeburger both cook in peanut oil. Lot's of places do so ask twice (becuase I got different answers). Will stay here again, the kids loved it and the minor nuisances are well worth it. Parking garage not bad once you get the hang of it.

Two full weeks as a T/S excahnge and 10 Apts for our Family Reunion for one of the weeks. Some units were from exchanges, others for $$ or points. All recieved free daily maid service except the T/S exchange, which would have incurred a small charge for maid service.

This building is excellent. Ten baths were checked prior to use, all clean without mold or mildew. Kitchens were fully stocked with all eq. needed to feed a family of 8. (Full apts sleep up to 8.) Windows and patios (lanais) in every unit, even the lock out. W/D in each unit, as was D/W (in main one bedroom).

No noise was heard from either side -ocean or intracoastal. Rooms were clean and neat Bed (IMO) were still too soft. Parking can be a chore, and is now no longer free ($12.00 a day as of April 1, 2005). But anyone from a big city understands how biulding parking lots work.

If you take a taxi to Beach Place Towers, the cabs are allowed to enter & exit free. This is the only way you can easily access the lobby with a lot of luggage. Tell the cabbie to let you off at P1 or P4. THe elevator will have a intercom or phone to main lobby. Call and ask for bell service to whatever level the cabie left you off on. This is also the way to get a cab back to airport. You can use the Water Taxi or Bus ($ 15.00 a week unlimited) for transport to various places...very easy.

Beach Place helped arrange several functions. One was a Buffet at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort (one mile walk S on A1A) This was fantastic. Al (concerage) also recommended many local places. Casablancas lunch was excellent, espically when one is free with one. Maxs Grilles lunch for $3.99 was also good, as was thier $6.99 dinner special.

Had a great time. Would remind exchangers that fees may be incurred with full hotel functions requested.
