Very nice building, location, and amenities but the customer service was not there.

We requested a lower-level beachfront room, arrived 11:00 a.m., and had to wait until 5:15 p.m. because they couldn't get room service to clean it. Found a flying cockroach the size of a VW in my bed my last night, and noticed a centipede on a keyboard wire at the front desk the next morning.

Elevators are slow. Entry and exit procedures into the public vs. hotel garage areas were overly-complicated.

Stayed at Beach place after taking a cruise. We had a beautiful oceanview room with a balcony that was great. Beach is right across the street. There is secured indoor parking attached to the complex. Many beach bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Studio rooms are well equipped with microwaves, refridgerators, sinks and dishes. Front desk staff were helpful and very pleasant Summer rates were very inexpensive for a hotel with all these amenities. Definetly would stay here again.

This is a timeshare not a regular hotel. When I called the front desk to complain about a few things, they didn't care. I called corporate to complain, and I was told that "Marriot doesn't control the timeshares, they can do what they want". Therefore, if you think you will get the level of service a Marriott provides, think again. My advice is to move on. One thing that was particularly weird was that they didn't clean my room. I called down and they said they would come up around 4 and do it. Then, they left me a note that next time I wanted it cleaned, it would be $50. Isn't that just goofy? Also, you probably will waste a great deal of money in gas getting to the parking lot from the street since it is 5 floors up. You keep going and going and going and going and going up and up and up and up. Also, If you even find the marriott parking, you will probably have a very high IQ. Most people were hopelessly loss as their was no signage. Also, there were two jacuzzi's and one was freezing cold, and the other was crazy hot. Other than this, the place was fine.

Although this property may not be the nicest or newest Marriott I've stayed in, it certainly works if you know what to expect. Yes, you have to get to the lobby by entering a parking lot on the back side of the property, but it's well marked. You do have to pay $14.00/day for the parking. We stayed in a recently remodeled room, and it was beautiful. Two bedrooms and 2 full baths, big kitchen and washer/dryer. 3 flat screen TVs. Two nice balconies that overlooked the Intercoastal waterway. The entire property seemed very clean, the pool area was well maintained. There is sun at the pool until about 3:00 pm, then it's in the shade, but that's nice at the hottest part of the day. We never had to wait long for the elevator except one time, and it had started raining and everyone was rushing inside. Even then, the wait was not that long. We purchased groceries at a store about 3 miles away when we first arrived, and never left after that for 4 days. There's a CVS very close that has just about anything you might need, including some groceries, and is priced reasonable. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this property for a girls trip, and I would stay again!
