You have the best of both worlds at the Beach Palace. You can hang out by the pool, or walk right to the beach. Rooms face the ocean with great views. You are located right off A1A. The courtyard has stores and a restaurant which sells cheap margaritas. There is also a grocery store nearby. There is no wasted space so parking is in a garage beneath the building.

We like to spend between a week to a couple days in Florida before we get on our cruise every year. We are family and friends and most of us married in our late 40's to early 60's. We usually stay in a hotel where the pool is an absolute oasis but if you want to do anything other than that you have to have a car which means designated driver. This was our first stay at the Mariott Beach Place Towers. Most of us had the regular king size rooms~ which were nice kept clean every day by the hotel staff and the kitchenette was wonderful. I don't need a full kitchen just a mini fridge to keep things cold, coffee pot and microwave. Having all the dishes and glasses including wine glasses and corkscrew was very nice. We were only on the second floor in the corner on the ocean side. It was nice I won't complain Yes we overlooked roof tops but just past it was a great view of the ocean. My sis in law was on the 8th and cousin on the 15th ocean side and those were great!! Anywhere you have a balcony and can get away from -10 degree weather in February is wonderful :) A couple in our group had a newly remodeled suite. They were VERY NICE!!! We had some really rainy weather and it was nice to be able in the evening to sit around the pool with the beautiful lights on and enjoy the seating area under the over hang. The pool wasn't huge and in February the pool was pretty much shaded by 2:00, but the beach is right across the street and it is beautiful. All the restaurants right out front the hotel were wonderful and having a CVS right there for beer wine water pop and most everything else a CVS carries was a huge plus~ FYI no pharmacy. We went to Lulu's Bait shack for mussels ~ yummm. Hooters for wings. Subway for breakfast or lunch. We went to Saprano's ~dueling piano's on Friday night. We got there at 7:00 when it started, got a great table and then about 8:30 a much younger crowd came in. We had a lot of fun. Just out the front of the hotel to the right is a great selection of places to eat or drink. Down a couple blocks is a Quarterdeck rest. If you enjoy Ribs then you have to try them. We went to a different location last year and could wait to go back. It did not disappoint. We loved everything about the area and will be back next year :)

Room Tip: I agree with others going higher up is better for more quiet.

This is NOT a family resort. Pool is small and shaded. Unable to leave the resort past 6 pm as there is craziness on the streets. Fights and drunk obnoxious people. Resort had many many young college kids as well which is not enjoyable when your with a family. Not many places to go with kids either. I will NOT RETURN. next time I will travel elsewhere

We are time share owners of this hotel. We were on the 18 floor, ocean view, the view is exceptionnal. The renovated rooms are pretty nice with all the services; washing machines, oven, dryer, coffee mach
Ine, toater etc. Great room, good mattress, very clean. There are no issues with the parking, yes its narrow, but you are on the beach, only a fool would expect a lager parking. Elevator are good, we wait 2 min the most, relax you are on the beach.

It was spring break, so the room next door was noisy, I went and see them. Tuesday night was very noisy outside because of mardi gras. But overall it was ok.

New lobby is fine and nice. In the pool are, people put their towel on the chair, reserved them and leave, I recommand you remove them like I did and take any chair, too bad.

Room tips, both side are nice, ask for an higher floor.

The room was ok but for $300 a night the intercoastal view was not impressive. Your balcony sits over a noise filled street making listening to music or conversing impossible. Ask for an odd numbered room to be sure of being on the ocean side. The intercoastal side should be deeply discounted. It is an owners resort, no restaurant or bar in the hotel. You need your room key to get into the gym, the laundromat, (where the only ice machine is btw.) The pool seating is overwhelmed very early in the morning even though the beach is across the street. The bars and restaurants in the area are rather run down. I guess it is a "twenties" scene as the bars are overpacked and loud and the restaurant food is poor. I went for a walk in the mornings and could not get over the stench of vomit from most waste cans on the sidewalks and an occasional pile of it to step over. Will not go back.

Room Tip: Odd numbers Ocean side, even intercoastal side

Thank you for visiting Marriott’s BeachPlace Towers. We appreciate your feedback regarding your stay and apologize for not exceeding your expectations. While we are happy to take requests for a villa facing the ocean, unfortunately it cannot always be accommodated. We hope to welcome you back in the future so we may truly exceed your expectations.

Great stay at this property and we will be back. When departing early this morning my family and I called a cab but it was running late. Annie from the front desk came down and personally assisted me in hailing a cab and we just made our flight. This level of service is above and beyond.

Yes, there are some drawbacks with the parking garage (add an extra 5 minutes to your trip) and don't bother looking for handicapped spaces. I think they have permanent residents in them. The hotel is lovely. We were given an oceanview on the 6th floor first. You literally have a view of the rooftops and water. The beach and strip are blocked out. We requested a move immediately and they gave us the 15th floor overlooking the inland waterway. Beautiful! The sunsets were amazing, the activity on the waterway was always entertaining. We had NO problems with the elevators. The room was stocked with enough towels, etc to last us (2) a week and the mini-kitchen was complete with frig, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, cutting board, dish soap, sponge and towels. The linens were soft and the bed very comfortable with good black out curtains. We hope to go back to this property soon.
