I've already been here for three nights, with two nights to go, and thought I'd write my review while I'm still here so everything is fresh in my head.
The front desk staff is great. I lucked out and got free breakfast for a week (woohoo). I don't know if it's because I'm a platinum, or if it was just my lucky day - but either way, made me very happy. Most hotels restrict free breakfast for golds/platinums to the concierge lounge. The breakfast is great by the way, and the made to order omelettes are amazing. The smoked salmon is a nice touch, and everything is fresh and tasty.
The other thing that was a nice surprise, was that the hotel offers free parking and free internet for everyone. I'm a platinum, so I get it free anyway, but it's nice to see that the hotel isn't nickel and diming everyone. The first night, I checked the speed and it was a ridiculously fast 13 Mbps. At times the speed drops to 3 Mbps but that's still pretty fast.
Also, the hotel offers free computers and free printing in the lobby which is a rarity at full service Marriotts these days! The best part, is the computers don't have that stupid software that most Marriotts put on which slows everything down.
The rooms are big and very modern and the mattress is very comfortable. The Hotel pool is great as well and very clean.
Oh by the way, for those of you who get access to the Concierge Lounge (golds/plats), the lounge is great in the evening (I haven't tried breakfast), but they have some nice sandwiches, fruits vegetables, etc.
My only complaints relate to the gym. First, the good thing is that the hotel has 5 or 6 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, and 3 bikes. That means that if a piece of equipment isn't working properly, that you can just hop onto another piece. These are very minor complaints, but the first elliptical I tried wouldn't let me change the channel on the t.v., the top part of the second elliptical seemed very loose, so I opted for the first one. Last night, I tried using a treadmill, the treadmill worked fine, but the volume button was broken. I'm sure some of the other ones worked fine, but I couldn't be bothered. Also, the scale is broken - and the reading is nowhere near accurate.
So, to sum it up: I would definitely stay here again, the staff is great, the hotel is very generous with free parking, free internet, free printing, free breakfast, etc., and my only complaints relate to some of the equipment in the gym. If not for the problems in the gym, I'd give the hotel 5 stars!!
