“Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek Quality in Decline”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Room quality and upkeep in this hotel is in decline. Beds are in need of new mattresses. Sheets and bed covers need to have staines and those with holes replaced. The Staff is still the one strong point that remains in this hotel. They try to help you out whenever they can.The exercise room has old equipment. WiFi is still a daily pay option.

Room Tip: Check out the mattress for high and low areas before choosing a room.

Our room 619 had something at the top - probably a housekeeping facility and there was a rumbling noise frm our ceiling, as if massive movements of things were happening the whole day over head. This was the most disturbing part of our stay.

The hotel is just ok, bit run down in places. They dont provide internet in the room charges and there was no wifi reception in our room. Food is average but quite expensively charged. Everyhting gets topped up by almost 25% from the menu card especially in room service.

Remember if you have to swim , there is no one in swimming area - no service - no towels. Better take your own towel from room and your own bottle of water.

I will avoid staying in this facility if I can.

Room Tip: Avoid 619 Folks!! - ask reception to ensure there are no housekeeping or laundry facilities on top o...

This used to be a great property but it needs a serious renovation. Rooms smell musty, moldy and carpet needs to be replaced...Black mold in my shower ceiling.....Small bathroom only good for solo business travelers..... Location is perfect for easy access to I-95 , however the condition of the rooms only warrants a 2 Star Rating......

Room Tip: Get a room as far away from the elevators as possible as the Courtyard noise resonates upward during...

we were brought to this hotel due to the Superstorm Sandy as our flight was cancelled into the northeast. it's a very pretty hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. the only set back is even thou the rooms are called "suites", the bathrooms are small. also, there's internet charge inside the rooms. when you compare that to the more modern hotels that include internet throughout the their hotels, it might be a deciding factor when choosing where to stay. other than that, it's a decent place to stay.

We requested to move from this hotel from the Welcome Center at the Ramada Inn. When we were about to pull up you can see the atrocious pink colored hotel and I thought, oh no, but once you get to the semi circle and you see the beautiful mahagony colored wooden doors that automatically open and the adorable man in the hat that makes you want to go on safari and the stunning welcoming foyer - you forget all about the unattractive amd uninviting color of the outside of the hotel. The suites are so nice and the bed vey comfortable. And my favorite part was how quiet it was once you were inside your room. The bathroom was really small in our suite but who needs a large bathroom when on vacation. The only issue I had was the check in guy was not very professional, but he seemed kind of young. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It's beautiful!

Lovely hotel. Great last minute deal in a King Suite $99 1st night and $89 2nd night. There were two wedding parties and a family reunion there the weekend I stayed and I didn't hear any of them. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had a little trouble finding a bar tender on a Sunday night, but the waitress I did find gave me a very generous pour on a glass of wine.

Well, this is my second time around in the Shearton Suites Cypress Creek in Ft. Lauderdale. Even I am a Sheraton Preferred Guest and in there system I did not get one of there preferred guest rooms... So I ended up in room 637 which is facing the South East corner of Cypress Creek Road looking towards I-95 and the Tri Rail railroad crossing... Guess what, if you need to get up early every day you won't need a wake up call since the train honks his horn every day at 6:08 AM in the morning... So that will eliminate the need for a wake up call.

The furniture in the room, especially the chairs are the most uncomfortable ones I have ever sit on and the room service was at best average. Most of the days the cleaning lady forgot one or the other thing, which means you had to rush down to the front desk to get toilet paper, coffee or even towels... So better be prepared to look around your room if something is missing.

The rest of the hotel is maintained good and enjoyable, but next time I will definitely pick another place, even if it means I have to pay for parking the car... It just did not work out this time.

Sorry Sheraton Group, if this is the best you can do then I am better off not being a preferred member and go with a different brand of hotels. Most of them offer even free WiFi for your modern toys, while the hotel here likes to charge you $9.95 a day for WiFi access...

Thank you, but no thank you...

Room Tip: Definitely take a room that faces the North West corner, then you oversee the corporate park behind...
