We booked our overnight stay online and noted that there was an alert that there were renovations that were being completed at this property. We called and was assured that the renovations were complete and nothing would be going on during our stay.

Overall the service from the front desk and catering staff was indifferent at best!

Upon check-in we were given a room that looked as if they started the renovation, however, did not complete it. The baseboards were missing and there were chips and holes in the wall. We asked for another room and ended up getting a room that smelled very musty, the electrical in the bedroom did not work (no lights, phone or TV) and the bathroom had urine stains on the floor.

We ended up checking out immediately and found a Marriott down the street.

We have nothing to say except STAY AWAY....you'll get a better value for your money elsewhere!

Whenever we go to FLL as a family, we always try to stay at Sheraton in Cypress Creek. We just returned from another stay on December 14. This is a great hotel to stay at. The bedrooms come with double queens beds or a King size and the pullout is very comfortable.

Yes there is a train station nearby, but once we were in our room (and our room this time was on the side of the train track) we did not even hear the train at night.

The airport nearby is not a bother. Many of the airline personnel usually stay here overnight.

The inerior of the hotel is very nice and the flat panels tv's in the rooms are out of this world.

If you are just planning to relax in the hotel the rooms are a joy to be in all day long.

The bellman are not always on duty, but when they are not the cart is available that you can use to carry your own luggage.

Overall this is an excellent hotel and would highly recommend it to business travellers and familes.

I stayed for 2 nights in this property with husband, 2 kids and in-laws. The reason I chose the hotel is, according to the description I saw on Sheraton Website, this is a two room suite and has a living ( with pull out sofa) and dining area. This should be perfect for us and of course its the Sheraton. The location is very convenient to the downtown area, walking distance to different restaurants. The negative thing was, its also near a railway. You can definitely hear the train when it passes by. The lobby was nice and clean and they have christmas decoration up already. The check in process I experienced was not good. There is only one agent in the counter and I have to wait for a couple of minutes. I asked the agent if what type of bedding do they have for the rooms. Thats when I learned that it is only a one bedroom suite with a separate living area or should I say a separate living room with pull out sofa. That according to the front agent is considered a two room suite, one bedroom and one living room equals to two rooms. I was so disappointed. How can I explain to my in laws that they will not sleep on a bed but on a pullout sofa? Well, I dont have a choice but to accept whatever they have.Then check in was done, I asked for assistance for my luggage. I waited for again a couple of minutes, cant ask the agent coz he is talking to another guest and then I waited waited..then I saw my husband outside waving for me to go outside. We end up just carrying all our things to our room without any help from the hotel staff.
The room interior is beautiful, new carpet, furnitures, two flat screen tv's, small dining table which seats four, miniref and microwave, very very small bathroom and bath tub ( had a hard time giving the kids a bath). The room has a balcony with a wonderful city and pool view. They are still renovating other rooms but its not bothering any guest.
I will recommend this to other travellers who will be going to Fort Lauderdale area but dont expect too much.

The new rooms are great. I stayed earlier this year and heard about the planned renovations. The new rooms are comfortable, good color choices etc. they replaced everything from top to bottom. Completely upgraded since my last stay. I have stayed at several hotels in the Cypress Creek area and this hotel now has the best rooms by far since the renovation. All rooms are one bedroom suites. If you have stayed before, I guarantee you will be impressed. Can't wait for my next business trip.
