Mick, the owner runs this establishment with the kind of hospitality that is generally lacking in many businesses today. The hotel is clean, quiet and tropically decorated. It has interesting statues and decorations sort of hidden throughout the property. There is ceramic tile designs inlayed in the flooring inside and out. Also has a tennis court, shuffleboard and warm pool. A short walk to the beach. You could actually see the ocean from the room we were in. Mick will loan you beach towels and beach chairs to take along with you. Only problems; the bed was a bit uncomfortable in one of the rooms we stayed in and the coffee in the a.m. is a little late in coming.(two minor complaints) Highly recommended.

We stayed at the tropi rock a day prior to a cruise. Rooms were very clean. Motif was older- 1950's. pink tile bathroom etc. Decorated in a very unique manner; Service was good. Close proximity to beach etc. Beds were not very comfortable. Free internet access in room behind office. small clean pool with landscaped suroundings. If we ever visited ft lauderdale, we would stay there again.

My wife and I spent the last two weeks here and will leave to take a tour outside the US. We will return to stay at least 10 days and more if rooms become available. Heated pool, 2 blocks from beach, and two tennis courts,all at reasonable rates. (What more can one ask unless it is to have two wonderful owners? (which they are).Any reasonable request is filled almost at once.
Newspapers and coffee are available all day.
