This place is the epitomy of bad taste. I would describe the style of my room as "Early Gladiator"...
The elevator is in shambles and you get not one, but two communicating doors on both sides.. Can you imagine the noise level? Overpriced and overdecorated rundown hotel.
Stay away from it. You'll find many more interesting and less expensive place in the same neighbourhood and close to the beach.

Cant believe that some people have given this place a bad rating, we extended our 4 night stay to 10 nights because this place is superb, Mick and Patti are 2 of the nicest people you will meet and go out of their way to help with anything asked of them. Ignore what the whingers have said and do yourself a favor, enjoy a relaxing stay at The Tropi Rock.

I stayed at the Tropi Rock to celebrate my 50th birthday with my sister. The Tropi Rock is delightfully different. It was very clean in my room and in my sister's room. Maid service every day. This is a pet-friendly place. Two dogs stayed to the right of me. I was never bothered. A friendly dog also came up to greet me in the lobby. The folks running this hotel were very nice. My sister and I had the pool to ourselves often in the evenings. The hotel was pretty in its own way and sort of reminded me of the setting of a mystery book which I am fond of reading. I liked that it was in walking distance of the beach and ocean. The location is near Las Olas Boulevard. We also used the water bus. We were near what we were looking for to have a restful, enjoyable vacation. I want to come back to the Tropi Rock someday if the Lord wills. If you are thinking about going to the Tropi Rock, remember to look at it for its good points. It was a sweet little spot to stay and my room was very comfortable. I enjoyed being at Tropi Rock.

My sister and I just spent six of the most wonderful days at tropi rock.We stayed from Oct 4 to the 10th and did not want to leave. Yes, you are right, it isn't a big fancy resort, but a wonderful place to relax and still be close to all the action. The rooms were very clean and every thing worked. The sheets and towels were spotless and the bathroom was very clean. It was a block from the beach, so whats the big deal? For the price, it doesn't hurt to walk a block! We will be back as soon as we can!! Thank you ,Mick and Patti for a wonderful stay.
