I stayed at Tropi Rock this past July for 4 days after reading and beleiving the reviews. I was sure glad I did. Not only is Tropi Rock in a great location, close to the beach and alot of super restaurants and bars but it has more going for it than I could imagine. It is super clean, awesomely decorated, has a super pool, good size rooms, neat gardens, great privacy and perhaps the best owners, consierge, staff and family I've known. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming that by the time I left I felt as though I had been going there for years. I know I will be sure to stay there next time I'm back in Ft. Lauderdale.

Stayed at this motel for 2 days in late July. A resort it is not. Tile floors in rooms with small outdated bathrooms and unit AC above the doors which are remote controlled. Very little natural light throughout. Pool is very small, maybe 12x40. What you see on the website is pretty much what you get. Everything is pretty much jammed into 1 block. The staff is friendly(nice golden retriever) and beach towels are available for free. Forget about the few chairs available.
The upper sun deck was closed. If you want a cheap place within 1 block of the beach this will do but if you're looking for a little luxury and creature comforts, book somewhere else.

Tropi Rock is a very clean hotel. The owners were so caring and kind to us while there and also accepted my daughters little dog which is like a family member to me. When I left there I felt as if I were a family member. I loved the atmosphere around the pool area the beautiful flowers, waterfalls, the banana plants, palm trees and the lighted walkways which led me through a beautiful garden where if you wanted you could cook out and sit also outside and eat under an unbrella at a tile top table with candle light and have a wonderful relaxing time at your hotel also a huge tennis court and shuffle board. It wasnt cold like most other hotels. The room was large, the bedspreads were not cheap thin polyester, the towels were thick and nice and of the best quality. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need even down to the paper towels. The furnishings are like something you would see in a resort in the tropics. Interesting to try to figure out how some of the things were made. A rooftop where we could sit peacefully and enjoy the breeze from the ocean and look out over the view of the city or the hotel gardens. I will definitely go back to this wonderful place and hopefully it will be very soon. Thank you Tropi Rock for everything!!!

WONDERFUL! I cant say enough good things about this hotel. I truly loved it. It was a paradise in itself. The owners Mick and Patty were GREAT HOSTS! I felt like I was leaving family when my vacation was over. The rooms were absolutely spotless, and beautifully decorated. I felt as if I was on a little island in this resort. The gardens, pool, sundeck all were delightful. They also welcomed my dog, which was such a delight. I truly loved everything about the hotel and will DEFINITELY stay there again. Give this one a try You won't regret it. The rest of the staff was just as courteous as the owners.
