We stayed at Sundeck Motel for two weeks and We were very happy. Owners makes us feel like we were at home. Non-smoking efficiency room was specials, very clean and had everything you need. Location was ideal. It was an easy walk to shops and dining places for all tastes and budgets, the beach Winn-Dixie grocery store across the street. Sundeck Motel is a wonderful place to stay because of the friendly staff, price, cleanliness and most of all locations.

Room Tip: Full size kitchens at most of the rooms.

My two friends and I were staying in Ft. Lauderdale for the weekend, we have friends who live nearby in a condo but their place was too small to house 3 more, so we found the Sundeck. We were very pleased, the price was right and the rooms were clean and fit three grown men without problem. They also had free wireless internet (1st time I had that) and free parking (most places in Lauderdale charge). Great value for the money and close to the beaches, mall, restaurants/bars and Las Olas Blvd. Couldn't have asked for a better place.

I stayed here with a couple of my friends because it was dirt cheap and we're college students. It was a bunch of old people that glared at us every time we walked out of our door. It says that it's "right across from the beach". That's not true, its right across from Winn-Dixie. And the pool is right next to the highway. We had no way of even getting onto the beach walking from our hotel. The rooms were decently clean and the room wasn't bad. However it is a bid run down, and horrible location. Don't go here if you are going on spring break, or really if you're under 40.

We have stayed in many hotels, and this little place is the best yet! We had an efficiency room. The kitchen was really perfectly equipped. Frankly, we had all we needed, just like being at home. This place is spotless and very well kept up. The owners, Barbara & Matt, were very helpful and always great to give info on the sights & places to go. Free access to wireless internet and a wonderful pool there kept our kids happy. Staying at Sundeck Motel was really a great experience for the whole family, especially that the rate was reasonable. WE WILL BE BACK, FOR SURE!

We pulled into a small quaint building and the first thing I thought to myself is this place is clean (fresh paint, clean parking lot, no dust anywhere) and it better have wireless internet. We were pleasantly surprised to find that not only was there free wireless, but the price was 30-40 less than the Sheraton where our friends were staying. Of course we visited our friends at their hotel and they at ours throughout our stay and our room was nicer and cleaner than theirs, plus our room opened up to the heated pool (nice touch).

I stayed here for 4 days feb - March 2009. We were orgiginally staying at the Ramada Plaza but decided to stay nearer the beach after 3 days.
I found the motel was good for the price, and was in a good location. There was a supermarket and drug store right opposite the hotel, buses stop a few yards away and there were plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance.
I read one of the other reviews that said the owners hassled them, this wasn't the case at all. They never bothered us and were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are quite old fashioned but clean and comfortable. It's a real authentic little motel, i loved the look of the place very 1960's.
The only downside was that there were bugs in the pool, i think they were roaches which really freaked me out when i went swimming after dark, but i'm not sure if this is normal in south florida or not.
I loved the sundeck and also the patio area right outside the room, good for relaxing ith a book and a glass of wine.
Also the beach is about 10 mins walk away if you want the public access and a little shorter walk, the other way but you have to go through a hotel to gt to it.
All in all a good place to stay, i'm thinking about rebooking for September
