We arrived at the hotel early. Our room was ready at 11:00 a.m. The front desk was very courteous. We had just signed up for Starwood Rewards. The front desk agent welcomed me by name and thanked me for being a member of Starwood hotels. We were promptly given our key, taken directly to our room. The bell man was very prompt and courteous. He followed us up to our room with our bags.

The room was nice. The beds were comfy. The beach area is awesome. Very wide, and clean. On the beach you have complimentary chairs, and cushioned covers. The beach attendants were very polite.

We traveled with our two kids age 13 and 9. The hotel had complimentary beach toys for my 9 year old to use. They also had complimentary boogie boards.

You could see the cruise ships sailing out of port from the beach.

There is a public park on the beach area. It was great. My children enjoyed using this. There are also public restrooms near the park.

They had a neat bar that is decorated like a ship. There are port holes to the pool. My kids had a great time swimming down to the port hole to look in the restaurant.

The only item this hotel is lacking is balconies. Considering everything else said I would definitely stay at this hotel again. We can't wait to go back.

My finace and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. We booked a package through Travelocity and requested a non-smoking king room. Well, we ended up in a smoking room with two double beds. The front desk refused to change our room as they were sold out. That was very disappointing to us. Also, we found the housekeeping staff to be a little rude and the hotel in need of an update.
That being said, our room was a corner and had a beautiful ocean view, was quite large and the location on the beach couldn't have been better. The beach wasn't crowded at all. We enjoyed having a drink in the Wreck Lounge and were able to either walk or take a short cab ride everywhere we wanted to go.
It was just a short trip for us, to ecape the cold for a few days. I'd stay there again for something like that, certainly not for a honeymoon or a major vacation. And I would book directly next time - not use Travelocity.

This was not up to the level of the Sheraton Hotel's that we have stayed in the past. There was an odd odor in the hallways and stairways that is unexplainable? Our room was never swept, and our bathroom was not thouroughly cleaned in a 5 night stay, very disapointing! Also, to eat breakfast, $15.00 for a buffet, who is going to touch that with kids, make it reasonable and you would have been swamped. The only up side to the hotel was the bell captains and the concierge, there recommendations for dinner and restaurants to visit were right on the money. Wouldn't recommend this Sheraton. Sorry.

we had a great stay at the Yankee Clipper. Our room, in the building closest to the beach, was very clean and comfortable. the staff was friendly and helpful, especially at the concierge desk. the beach is really nice and abuts the public beach which has volleyball courts and a playground. we ate lunch by the pool one day and had delicious fish sandwiches, otherwise we walked to various nearby restaurants because the hotel restaurant was expensive. we would definitely stay here again.

If you want beach- this is the place. The hotel is huge with several buildings, fortunately we stayed in the building closest to the beach and it was great for that reason. We were steps from the 2nd pool and bar. The main building was a slight hike but not as far as the work out room in the building across the street. The breakfast buffet should cost $10-12 not the $18 that they charge, but I guess everyone is trying to make a buck. The max I would pay there is $200 a night.
