WE loved it, the hotel was great, every expectation was full. The services was great, our room was clean and beatiful.
Me and my best friends were there for 6 nights and it was great. We were looking for relaxing and we found it. It was great vacation, even thought we didn't rent a car, the walking trught the boulevar was great, all the restaurant were delicious, kind of expesives but great. The hotel was a great resort for the beach and the pools were great. The restaurnt have the best loster and the best breakfast. The drinks are good and the deli is open 24 hrs!! Everything was great. Athought, the hotel is better for coulple and family, WE the single will have fun but if you are single wishing other things, then I have to tell you not to go there, but if you are looking for to be relax and enjoy the weather and the sun, then go here and enjoy it, you won't regret it!!!

The bellboy dropped my laptop computer and caused damage. The hotel and their incompetent insurance carrier (Wausau) refused to act prudently. While they fully admit the accident happened (it's on videotape), they deny paying a small claim because I can't prove that's what caused the damage. They didn't act like the proud, service organization they portray. As for the hotel, many rooms are actually across from the hotel, on the opposite side of the street from the ocean, and are a good 5-10 minute walk from your room to the beach. Food and drinks are extremely overpriced and there are many better deals and hotels in Fort Lauderdale, I have found, since I am visiting at least once per month. Sour grapes? You bet! It is totally unreasonable how they acted. GM James Pancallo wouldn't return personal phone calls and referred everything to the insurance company, who was even more brutal.

We (8 of us) just returned from a wonderful week long stay at the Yankee CLipper and I can not begin to tell you enough positive comments about this hotel. The staff is the best I have experienced in the past 18 years since our honeymoon at the Elbow Beach resort in Bermuda. Everyone from Teresa in reservations, the bellmen, the housekeepers, the barstaff, the front desk, all too many to mention were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Not a night sleep was missed to adjust to my souroundings or the bed. It is located on the beach(resort style) and far enough from the crowds to be relaxing but close enough to walk to many of the attractions. You will not be sorry that you picked this one, but then again I am very easy to please once I am away from the stress of work and home.

We stayed at the Yankee Clipper before taking a cruise out of Miami. From the moment we arrived the bell hop was jumping into the street to serve me, the clerk at the front desk at check in upgraded me to the best room in the whole hotel with a full ocean view and full river view and at no extra charge. I didn't even ask for an upgrade, she simply said "I have found you an even better room than the one you booked online, would you like it?". I was amazed! My rate for this room was only $89 a night. Wow!! They took our bags to our room and were so friendly I couldn't believe it. The room was spotless, and looked like a $300 a night room. The bathroom was full tile and super clean, the beds were soft and comfortable, they have a promise at this hotel that "your satisfaction is guaranteed" and each person I encountered at this hotel reminded me of this promise. It was great! After our cruise we were scheduled to stay in Miami for two days before returning home but because the service at the Yankee Clipper was so great we took a cab back up to Fort Lauderdale just to say at the hotel again for another two nights. The hotel is right on the beach, in fact it seemed to be the only on that was acutally only feet from the water. Most of the other beach front hotels were much farther from the water. If you are going to stay in Fort Lauderdale this is the place to go. I don't know if all Sheraton hotels are like this but if they are, then they've sold me!
