Had a bad experience at the Best Western Oceanside Inn which is right next to the Sheraton, so we changed our reservations to stay at the Yankee Clipper.

It was a nice hotel, with a spectacular ocean view, but no balcony. The bed was above-average in Hotel standards. Nice down pillows.

Overall, this was a just-a-little-above-average hotel, and it wasn't worth the price we paid for - which turned out to be twice what we paid at the Best Western. But, if you are used to paying $140/nt, stay at the Clipper!

I had a great time and a great room I had no problem with having valet parking and having a bottle of ice water everytime the car arrived fast .The room was great and the pool area was clean and you could lounge there. The bar was a little annoying they didn't want to wait on you are could have cared less if anyone came in. But we had fun leaving the hotel and staying out late at other HOTSPOTS We didn't come to hang out at the hotel.

Just got back from a week in Fort Lauderdale, stayed at the Yankee Clipper. This hotel was fantastic! The staff is the best part... 24/7 Concierge desk gave us directions to restaurants, suggestions on activities around the area, etc... The room was very nice, no complaints. Pool is nice as well, this hotel is right on the beach. Expect to pay $7/day to park in the Deck (there is nowhere else to park on this strip in Ft. Lauderdale). Bring your own Umbrella if you desire, it is $15/day to rent an Umbrella and 2 Lounges on the beach in front of the Clipper. Great food service out by the beach and second pool.

We stayed for a few days at the Yankee Clipper Hotel in Ft Lauderdale. At first arrival we were disappointed bacause the beach was across the street. The hotel was much nicer than we thought after we entered.After checking in and trying to access the beach we realized there was a walkway right through the pool area that led to the beach - it was great! Highly recommended. Walking distance to the Water Taxi and very pleasant experience!
