“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

This hotel has very clean rooms, great food, courteous and helpful staff. We were right on the beach and the service is outstanding! Would definitely stay here again! We attended a Stamping Retreat and the ballrooms for our classes were quite spacious. Conceriege was especially helpful.

We just stayed at the Sheraton a couple of weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised. I was in the beach tower which is not connected to the hotel, but not a far walk, and has a pool and private beach right off the building. Dos Caminos was delicious with tableside guacamole, and you must try the breakfast quesadilla! We suggest trying the waterfront bar across the street which is attached to the Days inn. Open air bar/restaurant with live music, pub food and right on the marina so its perfect any time of day. Rooms were very clean and spacious and the hotel is right next to a beachfront park with playground for kids and grills if you'd like to barbeque. not too many other places to eat without a long walk down the beach, but if you have a car its a great place to stay.

Room Tip: request a beach-view room in the beach tower. itd overlook the pool and beach. oceanside room are ac...

I must say this hotel was very interesting. I loved the look and the main lobby level appeal. It has restaurants and different themed bars. I really dig places that give people options. Being right of the beach was amazing to have the waves hitting and so much being catered to you by the staff. We were given coupons for the stay which included restaurant coupons etc. We were allowed to check in to our room early with no issues as a starwood preferred member and even stayed on the Starwood Floor. Our room was nice as a whole. The location we were put in raised an eyebrow because we were the last room on the top floor which didn't feel very safe because those rooms were outside. Nonetheless my locks worked well. They also provide complimentary bottled water which was just fine with me. I loved the swim up pool and bar service. From one of the bars you could watch people dance and swim while your inside the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room in the tower where all rooms are inside the main building is possible.

I stayed in the Marina building Sept. 20 -23. Nice room, comfortable king bed, a/c worked well. No fridge or microwave. The beach pool was nice even though we didn't get a chance to use it due to the constant rain that weekend. The hotel is on the beach, and the hotel provides free beach chairs. Very good value for a beach location.

Room Tip: Dos Cominos will heat your food in their microwave after you sign a waiver. Also, the hotel is a...

Great location right on the beach and that is the main selling point of this hotel. On the very far south end of the Fort Lauderdale beach strip. A bit of a walk to get to the action areas, but very doable. Pool area by the beach was the best I've been to in the area. Ate at the mexican place in the hotel and it was a bit expensive but the food was good.

Rooms are a bit dated, and if they upgade these in the future I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This is my 3rd stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends. We had a 7th floor ocean view in the south tower and it was awesome. The staff are friendly and efficient. Check in/out is a breeze. The pools are really nice, lots of towels and very clean. The beach staff are friendly and helpful. We ate lunch by the beach pool and it was great. The fitness center has lots to offer. The hotel location is perfect because it is at the end of the strip. The beach walk is a nice walk/run in the morning. The one flaw is parking. It is expensive to self park and the fees are in addition to the stay. If parking was included I would give it five stars!

Room Tip: The south tower ocean view is beautiful because we were on the 7th floor and in a corner room.

My best friend and I take a trip at least once a year. This fall, we decided to take a post-Labor Day trip to the beach. What an awesome hotel! Our Expedia-booked room was on the third floor of the South Tower. It was very adequate, with good features and a partial view of the ocean.

This particular hotel has four structures (counting the parking garage - $20/day self park // $25/day valet) and is connected by SkyBridges and corridors. The Beach Tower, however, is separate and only accessible by using a sidewalk.

There are two pools, one in the Clipper Building (looks like a ship, pool and other outdoor amenities meant to resemble those found on cruise ship) and an infinity pool near the restaurant/bar and the ocean at the Beach Tower. Staff is on hand to provide beach lounge chairs, towels, and cabanas, and the beach access is fantastic.

We spent hours on the beach and in the water, and relaxed in the evenings either near the infinity pool or down SR A1A where many restaurants and other amenities are located within walking distance.

This location was perfect for our trip -- it's not a five star property by any means, but very sufficient.

One drawback? No airport shuttle to FLL or MIA.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Beach Tower, while benefiting from a better view, appeared to be more dated. Choose a R...
