We arrived Feb 3rd post cruise. Our room was not ready so we explored around. It certainly is an interesting place with the halls, elevated walkway across Seabreeze Blvd and separate buildings. The front desk was very nice to deal with. The property was sold out the night before so they had their hands full. We had room 215 in the main building. It was clean, bright and huge. The bed was very comfortable. Our room overlooked the pool. I went for a swim and the water was very warm. I've been in cleaner pools but this one was not scumy. The ocean was a little bit too cold for me so that is why I tried the pool. The deli shop is a total rip off. I paid 3.71 for two SMALL bags of Fritos. After we came back from dinner to watch Superbowl I went back to that little shop to buy some beer. I was charged 15.00 for a 6 pack of Heinekin. Seeing how it was our last night in FLL, I paid the price. We paid 178.00 - that was with AAA discount. Little steep but unfortunately all those hotels are cashing in on the cruisers these days. I would stay there again in the future.

Rooms are in need of some fresh paint and major updating. What is this New York $12.00 to park at a hotel you are staying one night at is crazy.

This hotel was clean, but sheets were very scratchy. Was way overpriced, and then charged extra for internet access! The beach looked nice, although January is too cool for ocean swimming. All the staff were very friendly. I would try someplace else next time.

Stayed here 1 night pre-cruise and stayed in the South towers floor 6 in a corner room. The room was clean and had very nice views of the ocean. I was worried abou this property after reading some bad reports. I think the south towers might be the newer of the sides? We paid $137 night thru travelocity and was very pleased!

The best part of this hotel is its beach front location. The Yankee Clipper offers a small section of great "semi-private" beach which includes free beach chairs and towels for hotel guests (umbrellas, boogie boards, cabanas are available for rent). A hotel beach bar and food service is right there.

The hotel complex is a convoluted mess of hallways and outdoor walkways, and the buildings have definately seen better days. As other reviews have said, this place is badly in need of renovation and updating. The two small outdoor, unheated swimming pools on premises are strictly average, and only moderately clean.

The service was good in both in the hotel, and at the beachfront bar, but you get Sheraton's usual nickel and dime charges... parking ($12/24 hours), internet access ($9.95/24 hours), etc.

If your looking for a great beach, and don't mind some hotel wear and tear consider the Yankee Clipper if you can get a good room rate.
