My original review was rejected ( a little to honest perhaps)...so I'll let my rating and pictures do the talking.

what i like about the sans souci is, first its not big, second, it has a heated pool...third, its two short blocks from the beach.
the people i met there were nice and friendly (included the stuff). many of them were regular visitors that came down for years. as they are called...repeat customers, (including me, 7 years).
for food you'll have to shop, put in the fridg or eat out. go enjoy the sun.

We spent five nights and had a great stay. It is an older property a few blocks from the beach but the owner does a good job of upkeep. The rooms are kept clean and housekeeping comes six days a week.

I had an efficiency with a full kitchen and a dining table and chairs. The beds were comfortable and it looked like a new TV with many cable channels. The bathroom was old but kept clean and had plenty of hot water.

The pool is not huge but there are lots of lounge chairs around the pool on the sunny deck. We definitely plan to return.

Went to the Sans Souci for 6 nights at the beginning of January 2007. Stayed in a efficiency unit with a 2 queen beds.

The unit was very spacious, had a huge closet and dresser to stow all your clothes, brand new TV with more than 30 channels, very clean tile floor, a kitchenette, a table with 2 chairs and alarm clock. The pool was nice and gets sun ALL day long. There was enough lounge chairs to accomodate everyone who stayed at the pool area. The beach is about 2 short blocks away. The area is quiet, safe and very relaxing. For beach chairs, just ask the owner. When guests leave, they also leave their chairs behind, the owner will show you where they are. The beach is great and there are lifeguards towers. ( For seashellers, this is NOT a great beach to find seashells!!!)

For a cheap breakfast, go to "The Deck", it's on your way to the beach, overlooking the ocean. It is also open for lunch, dinner and has a bar area...

If you do NOT rent a car, the closet grocery store "Publix" is only reachable by bus or taxi. There is a "7-eleven" type Convenient store with all the basics such as milk and bread located about 3 long blocks from the "Sans Souci" hotel street.

If you wish to rent a car during your stay, ask the owner. He'll help arrange a rental. We rented at "Gold Coast Rentals" for 1 day and were very satisfied with their customer service and they will come pick you up at the hotel.

The only negative thing I will say about the Sans Souci hotel is about the state of the bathroom. It is very very old, worn out and needs to be renovated. The bathtub is stained a yellowish, brownish color. Now, don't get me wrong, the maid DOES clean it every day but there is nothing she can do about the fact that it needs to be replaced...

I would go back in a heartbeat. We had a great time and the price was right for this type of accomodation.
