We experienced no problems with this hotel. Front desk, bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and good. Received ocean view though charged lower rate. We had anticipated the parking surcharge, so this was not a problem. The only bad part was that we were taking our son to college and only had a couple of nights. We did not have time to take advantage of the hotel beach and pool, though it all looked very nice. We would definately stay there again.

We stayed 1 night here, on our honeymoon, but we will never stay here again. From the beginning, we reserved a room facing the ocean with a king size bed, one of the most expensive rooms they have. They gave us a room w/2 double beds, when i told the front desk we wanted a king bed, she basically said, "sorry, not available, too bad". They would not switch us to a king size bed. We get to the room, and it is completely average. For spending so much, i was definately expecting more, but just average. The balcony is a small ledge that barely has enough room to stand there. I guess we should have paid less to stay in a room facing the marina. There is no door to close off the bathroom, so there is no privacy there. The room service, of course, was extremely expensive, but that is all room service. We got up early to go to the beach, but the bridge access was closed, even after the supposed open time. We had to go all the way down, & walk to the beach. The best part about this place is the restaurant, which is reasonably priced, & the wait staff is very courteous and helpful. Go to the restaurant, get a good view of the marina, but don't stay here. Did not like the front desk staff, did not like the room, will not stay here again--there are way too many good hotels in Ft. Lauderdale to waste time here.

Arrived at the Radisson on August 17th, was quite pleased with the front desk staff. Our room was perfect, on the 16th (Top Floor) with a view of both the intracostal and the ocean. If you plan on staying at this hotel I recommend you call ahead and ask for a room in the main tower on one of the upper floors. The rooms in the marina area seem older, and are less inviting. The beach was beautiful....the pool just OK. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent-sized room with ocean view. Bath/shower a bit temperamental.
Staff very pleasant and helpful, except one in gift shop. Restaurant and bar good.
Pool OK. Overall, a bit 'institutional'.
Convenient for water bus.
Why the parking charge? The carpark was huge and half-empty!

Would I go back? Probably - if I needed to be downtown, otherwise the Sheraton in Plantation would get my dollar..

The Bahia Mar was a great place. We stayed in the tower July 10 - 15. The tower seems to have the best rooms. Very clean with beautiful views. A private walkway over the road to the beach was nice. The on site deli is great--good sandwiches at reasonable prices. Didn't eat in the hotel dining room as it seemed overpriced and not what our 2 teenage boys would have liked. You don't need a car here--water taxi stop is across the back parking lot, and Beach Place is within walking distance with lots of restaurants and things going on. The pool area is nice with a bar/snackbar there and a workout room. Only 2 minor complaints--1. we arrived early on the 10th because of our flight time. The man at the front desk was not very helpful. Told us check-in was not until 3 p.m. and didn't try to accommodate us at all. Didn't offer a place to change or use of the pool until I asked. When we checked back about the room around 1 p.m., it seemed that a woman at the desk was about to help but the same guy gave her kind of a "wink" and said--those rooms aren't ready yet. Maybe he was on some kind of power trip but everyone else there was great! 2. Only 7 umbrellas around the pool area. With that hot sun they need many more umbrellas to accommodate those of us who burn! Overall--we liked it very much.
