First off do not go here expecting luxury - this is not the same standard as a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. To be honest the decor in the rooms and hallways is dated and the balconies are small.
BUT none of this mattered once you had been there a few hours as everything else is great.
The pool area was fantastic very clean and lots of room. The complimentary cookies and lemonade every afternoon was a nice touch. The beach is fabulous and the marriott is in the best beach location - very quiet as it's private.
The restaurant at the hotel 3030 is very good if you like seafood and there is also a Starbucks in the lobby which was great. We ordered room service a few times and that was always prompt and of high quality.
So I would definitley recommend a stay at this hotel as we had a great time, just I think it helps to know what to expect before you arrive.

I was at the hotel on business. The cost of parking seemed high to me, over $20 per day. ...the hotel is not really walking distant to anyplace...I prefer places where one can walk to nearby eateries, shopping, etc. The hotel is on the beach and the beach is quite nice. The pool is just too busy for reasonable enjoyment, though the smaller kids seemed to be having a good time.
I thought the food in the restaurant was pretty good, and I liked the Italian buffet that I had Saturday night there, and the price was fair for the setting/arrangement etc.
For someone coming out of state and looking for a comfortable hotel on the beach with a pool with lots of kids playing, the hotel may be a very good attraction.
There are probably far better places to have a professional meeting and while the setting has much to offer, I was not inspired the facility.
I thought the service in the restaurants was pretty good, and the front desk also. The concierge desk experieces for me was sub-optimal.

If you get the oceanview rooms it will help to take the sting out of the price - but the rooms are dated and small for what you pay here.
The staff; front desk, restaurant, business center attendant, to valet were all indifferent and slow slow slow but very fast to charge you. We were nickled and dimed at every level.
The valet literally dropped my bags on the ground and walked away when I said we were self parking. The restaurant staff was disoriented and slow - no silverware, several different waiters - each not knowing what to do, long wait for everything, expensive and not that good.
Bottom line is if you are spending that amount who needs the hassle, rudeness and lack of service coupled with small, old rooms. Go somewhere else.

My husband and I stayed at the Harbor Beach for 1 night for a birthday getaway this past weekend. We payed for a spa package that included an ocean front room. When we were checking in, the man working behind the desk did not inform us of what exactly our package included. I had to specifically ask about the spa massages, valet parking ($26), breakfast, etc. I think that you should be told what you have included and not have to ask (be aware). The staff overall seemed a little unorganized, but the hotel was really crowded this weekend. The rooms are nice, but nothing exceptional (it's not a Four Seasons or Ritz). The bathrooms are marble with a granite vanity and the beds are really nice and comfortable. Our room was near the laundry room and was VERY noisy so we asked to be moved. We walked into the next room they gave us and it was already occupied. By this time my husband had enough and they did upgrade us to an amazing suite. Again, just unorganized. The spa facility is really nice, but I was disappointed in the cleanliness. We have been there before for the day (live 1/2 hour away)during the week and the spa was spotless. We had a couples massage at 5:00pm so I guess it was towards the end of the day and the ladies locker room was a mess! There's no excuse for that (not for the $$$ they charge). We ate dinner at "3030" in the hotel and the food was excellent. This hotel does tend to get very crowded, so if you are looking for a quiet romantic time you might want to look elsewhere, unless it's during the week. The Marriott has a beach club membership that can use the facilities as well as the hotel guests, so just be aware of this. The main pool is beautiful and they have an adult's only pool if you are using the spa. We actually had to go to the beach because there were no chairs available at either pool. They do charge you to use an umbrella($15) or beach cabana ($25)down on the beach. The beach is really nice and you can watch all the cruise ships pass by since the port is very close by. We really do like the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel, but maybe next time we will go during the week.

We have just returned from three nights at the Harbor Beach Marriott. The hotel is fantastic and we had exceptional service. We had just disembarked from a cruise ship in Miami where we had been married on Grand Cayman. We arrived at 10:30 am, well before check-in time, and were greated by a cheerful associate at the front desk named Sunnie. She said the room was not yet ready, but gave us a pass to go to the pool where they have locker rooms for changing, and she would call our cell phone when the room was ready. At 11:30 am we got the call and while checking in we mentioned that we were on our honeymoon. Sunnie upgraded us to a top floor suite with direct ocean view. Fabulous! The best room we have ever stayed in - period. Considering we just stayed at the Wynn Las Vegas, that is high praise. In addition the bell service was outstanding. The pool area was attractive and large, with all the amenities. Drink ans snack prices are on a par with any ocean side resort. The beach is well groomed with plenty of water related activities. The location is great since it is close to the airport and to the shops and restaurants along Las Olas. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel experience that we have had.
