This hotel is great!! although im only a teenager my family has been going here FOREVER and i love it... One time i was there i even saw Hulk Hogan it was really cool!! Last year i went i got 3 henna tatoos, my hair braided, and scuba dived. I did all those things and more right on hte property of the hotel!! This hotel is like a second home to me. I can do whatever i want because they have everything to do!! even pottery POOLSIDE!!!! Their pool is awesome!!

THIS HOTEL COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER

I was a guest at this hotel Nov 25 - Nov 27. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, the service was great and the property is beautiful. The beach is really nice and the pool area is also beautiful. Both check-in and check out was very fast. If you are planning to park your car there it cost $20/night, I think that is an outrageous price to charge their guests! Don't listen to the negative reviews, those people are just SUPER picky people. Overall this is a beautiful hotel with great service, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Having read the previous posts on here and seen the pictures online we were very much looking forward to staying at this property.
Firstly I would like to comment on the pictures and say that the rooms depicted are NOT "real life". The rooms at the property do NOT even resemble those rooms. The lobby/reception could do with a serious overhaul. The area and the hotel in particular did suffer from the recent hurricane but renovation is in progress to fix that which we did take into account.
The checkin was less than impressive when it comes to service levels.
We had a smoking room booked and when we stepped out of the elevator on the relevant floor it was stepping into an ashtray, not to mention the room.
We were supposed to stay here for 1 week but left almost imediately for another hotel.
It completely depends what you are looking for but it is worth taking into consideration the area and thus the average age of hotel guests (and sometimes staff) when deciding. It is a retirement area and property style. I never got the opportunity to try the spa services so will not comment on those.
We expected elegance and got 70's geriatric and multiple child families. I will point out however that this hotel provides well for families and the older guest.

Considering the pictures in the brochures we were disillusion to say the least.
Expected the same curtious treatment as when staying at other Marriott Hotels in America, but this was not the case.
Try to avoid being given a room on the 7th floor overlooking the city.
It is only 1 floor above a flat room with all their air conditioning units on.
They were happy to upgrade us to an ocean view for an extra 30$ per night, but we declined this. The reason being that there was workmen painting the exterior of the building. Also, from 7 in the morning until 5 in the evening (with a 30 minute lunch break) there was workmen hammer drilling right under the rooms which had an ocean view, and trying to laise by the pool was a no starter.

Not sure that if asked I would recommend this hotel as a 4*+.
