We just returned from a one week stay at the Mariott. I can't say enough! At check in the staff was amazing. The bell hop was incredibly nice and well-mannered. He offered us a fridge and we asked for a roll away bed and both arrived in less than 15 minutes! Throughout our stay, every staff member, and I mean EVERY staff member, was courteous, polite, friendly and welcoming! No one passed without saying hello. Johnny at the beach house put up our umbrella every day and was extremely nice. Can I say clean? The hotel was spotless! Every morning, there was someone wiping down the lounge chairs and they washed the pool area floor every day!

I successfully used the in room internet connection. It was simple and easy to hook up! The day pass was a great offer whereby you get unlimited internet, unlimited local and domestic long distance, a beach umbrella/cabinette all for $16 per day. The internet alone is $9.95 per day so, it's a great deal!

I have recommended this place to all my family and friends. It is a beautiful place with amazing staff and well located. Strolling down the beach or on the A1A was not a problem.

The only thing is that food is expensive but, you don't have to eat there if you don't want to. The Starbucks in the lobby was a HUGE BONUS! One night, the executive chef had a complimentary cheese sampling table in the lobby with champagne grapes!! How classy is that!!!

I have to commend the staff and management on the wonderful experience they offer to their guests! WAY TO GO!

My family and my sisters family stayed at the Harbour Beach Resort fom 30th June - 7th July and we all had a wonderful week. The resort is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My only disappointment (as I am Marriott member) was that I requested a room on a high floor but got the 7th floor, with not a very good view (side of hotel, looking unto a rooftop) I also requested a fridge and was told that we would be put on a waiting list and when one became available it would be sent up to us but the fridge never arrived. But that aside we had a very relaxing week before we headed up to Orlando for our 2nd week. We stayed in the Yankee trader last summer for a few nights but the Harbour Beach is a much more luxurious hotel with a lovely pool and grounds, and of course it is directly on the beach. Also a point about the pool, we were very impressed with the facilities ie. the toilets/showers which were kept very clean and very well equipped with shampoo/conditioner/shower gel etc. provided and ample towels.
We all loved this resort and Fort Lauderdale and will definitley be back, hopefully again next summer.

We had our family of 10 people (including 4 kids under 10) for 5 nights in August. We all loved it! The beach and pool were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They had activities by the pool every day for the kids to do. The only negative is that a lot of activities are costly as is the food in the restaurants. We had breakfast there every day and it added up with 10 people. Tennis and parking are also extra. The spa facilities are superb and the hotel and grounds are first rate. It is a great place for a family vacation if you don't mind the expenses!

I went to the Marriott Harbor Beach the week July 4th. We had the best time. Our room was simple but the view spectacular. Everything was at our fingertips. Of course many ameneties had an additional price tag but I see that everywhere so that did not phase me. I liked how we could go to the beach and then just lounge by the pool within a matter of minutes. Nothing was too far (we did rent a car and yes parking is expensive, this was the only thing that I thought should not have been extra).
The pool area was nice. I liked the waterfalls, it was a nice touch. I only used the hot tub by the cabanas at night and it felt wonderful. There is no walkway there and you really have that small area to yourself. The ocean breeze is a plus. We ate at the many restaurants in town, by beachplace, all were good. We did not go to any fancy restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale. I needed to relax and that is exactly what I did.

This was the second year we (me, wife and 8 yo daughter) stayed at this property. We simply love this place! It is close to so many sights and we are able to walk to 3-5 good resturaunts along A1A.

The pool is wehre my daughter spent the better part of 6 days. She was in the pool from 8 am to 5 pm and it took threats of banishment to get out of the pool. The beach is also awesome, but it was too hot in July to walk on the beach.

The staff were great. Last year I twisted my ankle on the way back from dinner and the concierage as well as the activities staff were very helpful and concerned, especially after I began hopping around on my one good ankle. The housekeepers were very friendly and loved my interacting with my daughter.

The food at 30/30 Ocean Club was OK, the poolside BBQ during July 4th weekend was quite good. The food at the poolside resturaunt was like most other poolside places I've eaten at.

We will NEVER do the Jungle Dinner cruise. We were eaten alive by the bugs and it was a loooooooong night.

Based on the air, hotel and food costs for 3 people for 7 nights, this is a great value. All in all, we plan to back for a third year in a row.
