I can't even begin to describe the GREAT time that my family and I had last week at the Marriot Harbor Resort. From day one we were constantly catered too, taken care of and shown the best time possible. The staff is absolutely amazing. They take care of you from the minute you walk in to the time you leave. They really learn about you too. We were on the elevator with a staff member that we had never seen and we got off on our floor and didn't know which way to go and he simply said "you are too the right and down the hall on the right" and we were! It was amazing that he even knew that. Seth, inparticular, who works on the pool deck and covers the beach is probably the most attentive person I've ever seen. He really cares about the guests and the kind of time they are having at the hotel. Everyday he came over to us and said hello, asked us questions about our stay and always offered us aloe for our burnt skin :). I can't thank the staff enough for making our vacation the most relaxing one we've ever had. We will definitely be back again!!!! Also the 3030 restaurant in the hotel is a great place to eat. It is pricey but you will not be dissapointed!!

This is a 5 star place period. The CEO of Marriott stays here for 2-3 weeks a year in the winter.

It equals Maui hotels in what you stay at a beachfront hotel for: the beach related activities and access. The other things like the cost of parking, wifi, restaurant quality are not why you are at a beachfront hotel. If you want low cost parking go 10 miles inland. If you want the best food go to a nearby restaurant. I went to the highest rated beachfront hotel in Maui the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa and the food was just OK. In fact Maui’s food in general is not all that good and overpriced. Are you going to skip Maui because the food is too expensive?

It has it’s own beach and related activities all right there. The rooms are fine. What more do you want? I did a lot of snorkeling at the beach and saw a variety of fish, a stingray, a barracuda, a school of 12 inch snappers, a crab, a pencil fish, etc more than I have seen anywhere else in Florida from the beach. There is also parasailing, sailing with Hobbie Cats, a bar, free water, towel service and restaurant service right from the beach. There is a locker room by the pool, if you don’t want to return to your room to change.

We had 2 different rooms a back room facing north on the 8th floor and a pool room facing south on the 12th floor with a great view. So if you just want a great beachfront hotel go there. If you want low cost parking go to motel 6.

My friend is truning 50 and wanted to go to Ft. Lauderdale. I chose the Marriott Harbor Beach because of it's location on the beach (So many Ft. Lauderdale hotels are across the street from the beach). It was perfect for us. The pool area is quite nice with fresh water dispensers, a tiered lounge area, and bar service. Our room was small but appeared freshly remodeled and had a small oceanfront balcony. We had Starbucks (in lobby) each morning, lounged by the pool, swam in the ocean and had some fabulous dinners. Himmarshee downtown was great as was 3030 in our hotel. We took a cab to the Hard Rock Casino for the afternoon and evening one day, and went to Las Olas one evening for dinner. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and although the food and drinks were expensive, one really didn't have to leave ther hotel if they didn't want to. I can't wait to go back with my husband!

We just got back from a 4day stay at the Harbor Beach Marriott. We had a girls weekend to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Let me start by saying this place is beautiful.. The pool was awesome. Lots of palm trees, waterfalls, and music playing. It gave the feel like you were in the Carribean. The pool attendents were so friendly and accomodating. There was complimentary ice water both at the pool and at the beach.(nice touch) The pool has these oversized couches/beds with cushions and umbrellas. They were fantastic!! There were only about 12 so you need to wake up early and go down and reserve one. There was no cost but it is 1st come 1st serve. We went down by 7:00-7:15am and we did not have a problem. The food was very good at the pool. The burgers were great, so was the grouper sandwich.

We ate at 3030 Ocean which is the hotels signature restaurant(it is rated in Zagats 100 best list) and it was fabulous. The food was outstanding!!!!!!!!! I would suggest the Red Snapper, tendeloin steak and also the pasta w/clams, shrimp, mussels, tuna and salmon in a basil broth. The salads were also yummy. I would highly reccomend this restaurant.

We also ate dinner at Timpanos on Las Olas Blvd. This was great! Steaks, chicken, ect... The service was impecable. Our waiter was Arielle-he was one of the best waiters I have ever had. The restaurant is top notch and not that expensive. The manager Michael was awesome! So accomodating.
We also had lunch @Spazios and also Bahia Cabana both were very affordable and delicious. The steak sandwich at the Bahia Cabana is one of the best I have ever had-YUMMY

I am saving the best for last.
The best part of this hotel is Cyd , she works in the Concierge Dept, She was unbelievable. She recommended all of our restaurants and told us where to shop, where to go. She was not pushy at all. She sent us a bottle of wine with chocolate covered strawberries up to our room the 2nd night. It was such a surprise and such a nice touch. She is an absolute peach. Harbor Beach management should consider themselves very lucky to have such an assett. I have never experienced a conceriege that exemplified such outstanding service. We'll miss you Cyd!
Tina in concierge was also so nice and always pleasant the few times we had questions.

I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone!

My wife and I spent a fantastic week froom July 18-26 at the Marriott Beach Harbor. All I can say is that besides having a fantasic beach and pool, this is a first class operation with friendly and helpful staff, great restaurants, within walking distance to the Beachfront Promenade and we would definitely recommend this resort.

One tip, try and book your stay with the buffet breakfast included in your package. Great value.
