“Beautiful beachfront full-service Marriott”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

My clients and I visited this hotel for a site inspection April 2012 for a large conference, and they had their program this year at the hotel. The hotel is situated on a beautiful and clean beach, with clean beautiful rooms, nice restaurants, and ample meeting space. The staff is great, especially the sales staff working to accommodate my client's specific needs. The elevators were being serviced and full of bathing suit clad tourists, which was a turn-off to the business people, but if you can manage the expectation, and be sure and schedule time for the attendee goers to enjoy the killer beach, then they may not be as annoyed! Definitely make a reservation in the restaurant and don't expect to be served very quickly if they are busy. As the hotel is on the beach, you do pay for location, so prepare to get your wallet out. It is not as high as a Ritz Carlton level property, and definitely more casual feel, but it is more expensive than inland properties. Note that it is wonderfully convenient to the airport and has fantastic amenities on property (Spa, activities, etc.). Would recommend this hotel for leisure or conference.

Our stay at the Harbor Beach Resort and Spa was wonderful! Every staff member we encountered was more than happy to be at our service. The property is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. The resort is hidden and pretty far from other Ft. Lauderdale activities. You cannot walk out of the hotel to go to someplace else to eat. We took a cab, as we didn't rent a car, to Las Olas and the "boardwalk". $5. each way. $20. to the airport. Several things were not available to us, as we did not stay over the weekend i.e. drink service on the beach, water trampolines, beach bar. Be prepared to spend a lot of money at the resort...it is pricey! $4. iced tea, breakfast for two $65. The Starbucks helped cut the cost for breakfast, they are located in the lobby and the same price as any Starbucks. The food was great, however. The spa is lovely and very attentive. This was our second time staying here and we will be back!

My husband and I went for aweek with our daughter, son in law and our 13 month grand twins. We loved the setting from the start. Food was excellent and the service was friendly and catered to the children. All our requests were met, for a price. The children's play area is safe and has a big house and sprinklers that our toddlers just loved. The beach is clean and the water is a perfect temperature. Many restaurants within short walking distance or a 10 minute cab ride. Excellent resort!

I attended a weekend conference here. The rooms were soooo nice. Right on the beach and a great pool! All the food we ate at the restaurant and that was served at the conference was wonderful! Be prepared to pay for every single thing! $5 for a cup of coffee, $25 for a beach cabana, pay for a beach chair and umbrella. If you can afford it, it's a spectacular place to stay.

Beautiful, clean, service oriented resort. You will love this place. Request an ocean view room. Beach and pool were beautiful. Food was very pricey but we took the trolley to Publix and got lunch and breakfast foods to keep in our small fridge. Has a Starbucks in the lobby too! Great location. Would highly recommend.

This was a return girls trip to the Harbor Beach Marriott. We had a pool/ocean view same as last time but on a higher floor. I love being able to see the pool and the beach and would book this over oceanfront even at the same price. Soon after checkin a handwritten note welcoming us back was slipped under the door.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily at Riva, luches at Sea Level and Riva, and dinners at G&B Oyster Bar, S3, Dos Caminos, 3030 Ocean and Coconuts. All of the food at each place was delicious - especially our dinners at S3 and the 5-course surprise chef's tasting menu at 3030 Ocean. We took taxis to dinner (except to Dos Caminos and 3030) and walked back. S3 was a little bit of a hike but we made it (and we needed the walk after all that food!).

All of the Marriott staff were friendly and helpful. One shout out to the the gentleman on the omelette station at Riva a few mornings during our visit (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name)- great food, great service, and he followed special order requests perfectly.

Pool drink/food service was good. My favorite drink to enjoy poolside was the Coconut Mojito.
I love that the hotel sets out drinking water by the pool for guests to enjoy. There are also afternoon cookies and lemonade. At other times during our stay staff went around the pool area passing out grapes, trail mix, and ice cream bars - nice unexpected treats!

The rooms are stardard Marriott rooms and the cost is high but I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Ft. Lauderdale. The location, pool and private beach are perfect. I hope I will be able to return soon!
