In a nutshell there were several problems during our stay, but the most frustrating part, which brings me to write this review, is a completely incompetent, unmotivated staff. I had to request an ant problem to be addressed three times, the shower still has not been fixed after three days, and today I had to ask for fresh towels twice (the second time was fairly stern). They ran out of towels at the pool, but did not seem to care.
The property is older and some parts could be maintained better. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The hotel is loud and the walls are thin. The locks on the doors are the old chain type.
The pool bar is overpriced and the service is pitiful. The inside bar has poor service too, but at least they can mix a drink ( cocktails $8-$10 each). There are no kid-friendly foods at the hotel, and the closest options are about a mile away (also expensive).

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and it is our favorite hotel in Fort Lauderdale. We like the fact that it is not on the beach but is located on it's own Marina & Yacht Club. The views from the marina side balconies are much more beautiful and lively then those you can get at the beach resorts. Plus if you are a boater you can pull into one of their slips and enjoy the company of other's that love being on the water.

This hotel is located on it's own Marina & Yacht Club with 33 slips for yachts up to 60+'. It has views of the city, the intercostal and the multimillion dollar homes on the water. It is about 10 minutes drive from the beach with plenty of restaurants within a short distance. It is located close to the cruise ships and I believe they have shuttle service to them.

As other reviewers have pointed out self parking will cost an extra $19 a day and internet access is about $9 a day plus eating at the hotel can add up.

Summary:
- Quality / friendly staff & service
- Modern boutique hotel
- Great location on the marina with slips and Water Taxi access
- Great pool and poolside bar
- Beautiful views of the marina, city and intercostal water ways
- Extra fees and pricey food and drinks

The rooms are tasteful and quite comfortable with a HD LCD TV, un-stocked mini fridge and a unique overhead "rain" shower head in the shower that you can turn on or off.

You must also be aware that this hotel is very convenient for groups taking a cruise from Fort Lauderdale and can get VERY busy the morning before departure.

You can just sit on your balcony and watch the mega yachts of the world go by!!!

I stayed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale, the hotel was great. Everyone was very nice and the service was great. The only negative was that the hallways were a little loud in the mornings but I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife who was in Ft. Lauderdale on business. It rained almost every day we were there, so I ended up working from the room part of each day (have computer, will travel) and then relaxing the rest. We had a corner room (1429) with windows on two sides overlooking the intercostal waterway, and the view of the boat traffic along the waterway was one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel room was excellent: quiet, comfortable, nicely furnished, posh bed, efficient work space/desk, small table and chairs, small refrigerator (not full of mini-bar items, so actually usable), and two sided balcony where I could sit (when it wasn't raining) and enjoy the views. The bathroom was open and interestingly arranged, with a large walk-in shower rather than a bathtub. (My understanding is that there are no bathtubs in the Tower.) I had access to $10 worth of breakfast each morning due to my status with Hilton, and while it was adequate, I would have been upset at what little I got for the money if I'd had to pay for it. There is a bakery a short walk away (walk under SE 17th Street bridge approach) that might be a better alternative. The parts of the hotel I saw were new, clean, and well-cared for, and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel self parking was convenient, moreso than the more expensive valet parking I think. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Based at $149 per night this place is of great value. Over $225 per night I would choose another location. Parking is expensive with no alternatives overnight. Internet was also overpriced.
Room was really nice with balcony and water view on port side. Loved the view, decoration, and amenities which included a mini-fridge, flat screen TV, and IPod player. I wish I could have stayed longer. The pool bar does not seem to mind people bringing there own beverages, coolers, etc. The Water Taxi picks up from the hotel and is in a great location if you plan to use it. Walking distance to the convention center without breaking a sweat. I highly recommend the Water Taxi (1/2 price after 7pm) and think that everyone should experience it.
