For starters, I immediately thought I would not like this hotel because Priceline chose and locked me into a non-refundable reservation without my confirmation to accept this particular location. However, I was able to do some research and I reviewed good reviews from Trip Advisor so I was a little at ease.
When my husband and I checked in (8/08), we were awwwed at the overall ambiance of the hotel including its stylish and modern decor. The parking attendant allowed us to park our car directly out side of the hotel door.."VIP style"...talk about 5 star treatment ( we paid a little extra for it). The room was beutifuly decorated and the bed and the soft, plush bedding was extreemly comfortable. The view from the 14th floor was breath-taking especially in the morning! I would not reccomend this hotel for families with small children due to the structure of the room balconies and the ambiance of the facility. It is more of a adult couples location than a family location. I for one can say I had vertigo everytime I stepped on to the balcony and I am not affraid of heights. They view is spectacular but a little scarry too (due to the height). The bathrooms are small but are very elegant. The staff was wonderful and very helpful.
The only down fall was the menu prices....can you say "EXPENSIVE" they charge $16 dollars for a cheese burger and after taxes and restaruant added grautity, the overall price for the cheese burger was $21.00!!!!! Oh....let's not forget $5.00 for a bottle of water! There are mini refrigerators in the standard rooms but they do not have microwaves. My husband and I went to nearby grocery store and stocked up on snacks, coldcut sandwiches, sodas / water and even stopped at the liquor store for a few drinks to prevent us from ordering any food from the hotel.
Our overall experience made my husband and I fell like royalty!
Although we were forced to stay at this hotel through Priceline's jinky reservation tricks......we have NO regrets!
