Stayed here 3 days post-cruise. This hotel ran a special for the month of May (rooms were as low as $129 to $159 for a junior suite w/water view.) I booked the Jr. Suite and loved it. Rooms were just as pictured on the hotel website. Contemporary and up-to-date. Loved the balcony overlooking intercoastal waterway and beautiful yachts. The air conditioner was quite loud, other than that, everything was perfect. Loved flat screen tv that rotated 360 degrees for viewing in LR or BR. Jr. suite was nice and spacous with wrap around balcony. Toiltrees were great!!

I did not eat at hotel (had a rental car). Plently of restuarants nearby. Also grocery stores Win Dixie and Publix closeby and Walgreens, liquor stores nearby. Stocked up on bottled water and snacks for the fridge (bottled water in hotel is $5.00 a bottle). Valet parked $23.00 per night.

Sawgrass mills outlet mall and Aventura mall had great bargins. You'll need a rental car, however. Close to Ft. Lauderdale beach nightlife.

You can drive the A1A from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale and beyond. Nice coastal/ocean highway route alternative to I95.

Hotel staff super, super polite, courteous and extremely helpful...what you would expect staying at a yacht club.

Our room was WOW! Very contemporary and well designed. Staff was super friendly-a nice change for Ft Lauderdale! Hubby had a conference across the street at convention cener and my mission was relax! Very do-able! We did miss having a tub, but the rainshower experience was new and fun!
Pool area rocks! No shopping near unless you Water-taxi (fun) or drive. No micro-wave in room. Room coffee was $2/day. BreakfaSt w$s too $teep for u$ so brought things (nothing close-by for eating) to put in fridge.
Absolutely would love to return!

Nothing like low expectations that turn out to be a wonderful experience. This hotel has recently been remodeled and it shows. It's very art deco and reminded me a lot a boutique hotel in Manhattan or South Beach Miami.

What I loved the most about this hotel was its location on the water (intercostal), closeness to restuarants, stores and the convention center; the pool and the pool bar. The pool is not huge but very clean, lots and lots of lounge chairs, and someone to attend to your food and drink needs. The food, although expensive, was very good for a hotel and the staff was wonderful and friendly.

The rooms were large enough and very modern looking. Each room has a balcony. If you are lucky enough, as I was, to face the water, the view is wonderful.

The hotel runs a shuttle to and from the Ft. Lauderdale beach. This makes this hotel a great option for both business and pleasure. If you need to take a cab, it will only cost you about $5-$10 to get anywhere you need.

I liked this hotel so much I would even consider staying here on vacation (if a hotel on the beach was not an option).

After seeing all the overenthusiastic reviews, I figure its worth a sober recommendation of this place.

The hotel is just out of a period of renovation after the Hilton took over ownership. The decoration team has done quite a nice job in redoing the entry facade and courtyard. Rooms are also quite nice, done in a very "W" hotel-esque modern chic, with squarish japanese style bedframes and HD LCD Tvs in every room.

The Goosby bar, called the "G" is also very good, having well staffed team. Be warned throughout though that the hotel appears to just be starting their customer service training, as most of the staff appear to be a bit untrained in drink-making...but altogether a minor point.

other minor points, there is no hot tub or sauna facilities. for that you will have to venture to the hilton's sister property across the bridge.

Travelers that are new to the "Resort and Spa" gimmick that Hilton has pushed in the last few years should know that the pricing structure is meant to pull in guests at fairly low prices, but nickel-and-dime them on everything else. In-room coffee (the coffee pot) is $2. Meals are outrageously expensive (for ex. 1 cheeseburger and fries with room service and obligatory tip is $25. This is the cheapest meal on the menu).

Luckily, this hotel does a decent job at not throwing in a bunch of hidden charges for using the soap and conditioner etc that ive seen in other Hilton Resorts.

Altogether though, if you're traveling in Ft. Laurderdale, and are eating around town, this hotel does a great job of providing a nice relaxed place to come back to at night.

This was our first stay at this hotel; we normally stay at the Hyatt across the waterway, but decided to try it since it was under the Hilton umbrella.
From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we were treated like royalty. Every service we requested, every question we asked was handled with professionalism and warmth.
We had a room with a wrap-around balcony, providing views on two sides, and the views alone are worth the price. Ask for a room ending in 28 or 29.
The pool area is simply beautiful, the outdoor bar has great drinks and very good food, and there's even double-wide cushioned loungers to let you sprawl out.
I cannot recommend this place more highly - you will NOT be disappointed.
