I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently. I was on a winter get-
away, and planned a trip with a friend who was in town on business. My friend stays at Hilton's on business, and this hotel is affiliated with Hilton Hotels.
The overall experience at this hotel was very disappointing. First off, its under construction. There is no restaurant. The elevators were broken down (which is a problem when you are on the 12th floor). The most disappointing was the lack of attention to customer service. The morning breakfast was a zoo everyday. Not enough seats, not enough food, not enough glasses...everyday. It was even more troublesome when the staff was more worried about making sure they had your room number to charge you $19 instead of taking care the basic customer service issues.
The bar/lounge in the lobby looks great, but again, no drink menu, no price listing and really poor service. I was ignored for over 30 minutes, before directly dealing with the bartender - who charged me $15 for each drink...a premium even by hotel standards.
My friend had a package sent to the hotel for a business meeting, which arrived on our first day, but the hotel staff was not able to locate until the morning that we left. We left 2 messages for the manager to call, which were not returned.
The remaining issues are small, but given the overall experience added fuel to the fire...(e.g. the turn-down service includes turning on the radio..which also turned on the alarm, which went off at 6:30 a.m.).
On the positive side, the work out room was nice, as was the pool. The staff were mostly friendly, but it seems they need more training/
direction in how to create a positive customer experience.
