The time we spent at the Lago Mar Resort was great!
Our travel agent suggested that we stay here, after I mentioned that I wanted to stay on the beach.
It was me, my three teens...and my best friend and her daughter. They had a conventional hotel room...we had a one bedroom suite. The sofa in the living area turned into a sofa queen sized bed.
Our view(we stayed in room 513) was a partial ocean view...and side view of the condos next door.
We found the suite to be very clean and a good size for the four of us...it featured a mini fridge...a microwave...a sink..and coffee pot with dishes and utensils.
The bathroom was the best part...really large and impressive..with a walk in shower...and a separate toilet area...with two entry ways....
The beach was nice and fairly private...could always find a courtesy (free) chair...but they also had cabanas and umbrellas for rent....
The two pools were well kept...but we preferred the beach. They supplied the towels...
Due to a problem with our rental car, we were forced to eat lunch at the hotel on day..food wasn't bad, but nothing special...and that 18% gratuity was a bit grating.
It's very close to a lot of restaurants...fast food, family dining...and Las Olas Blvd....with a lot of really nice dining areas.
Also close to Publix(grocery store) and only ten minutes away from the airport. I'd suggest renting a car while there....there's a
really big outlet shopping mall...Sawgrass Mill about 25 minutes away....and Miami was only about 35 minutes away....we went there for a day during our stay.
People at the hotel were very nice...although on our last night there, whoever made our bed...left the comforter crumpled on the floor in the corner of the room.
Had a massage while there....nothing special...but okay...however, I did use the work out room quite a bit...found it to be fairly well equipped.
The price was certainly right....and its out of the way location really made it feel like a resort.
