“Will never stay here again. Would not recommend to anyone.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

This place is old with no noise barriers. We heard the sports cars racing up and down Commercial Blvd. all night long. Then there was the commuter train with a whistle louder than any freight train I have ever heard that blasted at regular intervals. The beds were supposed to be queens but were doubles. The beds were old and saggy in the middles. We had to ask for pillow cases for the pillows and wash cloths. They would only allow us 2 wash cloths. The continental breakfast was hidden from view for a good reason. Only cold cereal and bread that could be toasted. No fresh fruit or danish of any kind.

Jacques at the front desk was very helpful! He got us in a room 3 hours early before check in. The updates to the hotel are very nice. The lobby is very modern and the rooms have nice furniture. The traffic outside is a little loud but you will get that with any motel style room. They have a shuttle service as well to get to the cruise ports. Overall, great stay. :)

Had a bad experience with a new guy in training but everyone has to start somewhere, Right! Renee at the front desk is the greatest!!! She took care of everything. My stay was the best!!!! The pool was nice and very warm and the rooms were perfect. If you stay here make sure you have Renee check you in. 5 stars with her behind the desk. A+ :)

Outside was 'iffy' but was pleasantly surprised once I got inside. Old place, but pretty good updating. Big flat screen TV but NO ESPN of ANY kind, no FOX network, No HBO. About 10 decent channels and the rest very bad reception. Felt like I needed an old antena with some tin foil. Bed - OK. Train, sirens and traffic - Terrible. SOOOO noisy. Need a half hour late check out and they said 'NO'. Never happened to me before.
WIreless internet was slower than dial up... really! Just gave up on the computer.

Room Tip: If you don't care about decent TV viewing, don't care about internet and can deal with noisy...

Stayed there for one night before our cruise. We arrived early and they gave us our room anyway. The staff is very friendly and most of them speak french we was great for us. The train that everybody is complaining about we did not hear it that much. Must be because we live close to a train track back home. We had a problem with our room, we call the front desk and 5 minutes later someone was at the door to repair. My only complain would be the pool is too hot. Underwise very clean, lots of parking for our car, easy check in and very good location.

Stayed 2 nights after cruise. The location is great if you do not have a car. There is a bar with bar food in the hotel and then a nicer Italian restaurant also. There is a Waffle House next door and a McDonalds and KFC across the street. Also a block a way is a Miami Sub.
Our room was remodeled. It was very clean. There was a large flat screen TV. Yes we could hear the trains, but it didn't really bother us that much. The pool area was great. There were tables where we played cards. We then went into the pool for a refreshing swim. The water temperature was on the warm side, but I liked it that way. We were not offered the continental breakfast, not sure why? Yes, I would stay again.

Don't think you're getting a benefit if they give you a free continental breakfast! Don't pay a higher room rate so that breakfast is included...it consisted of bread that could be toasted and cereal. No fruit, no Danish, no bagels, no English muffins, no juices, no kidding! People couldn't believe it. They also posted a sign that said if you didn't have it as part of your rate, you could purchase it for $6 per person. WHAT A JOKE! As for the hotel, our room smelled a bit musty and train tracks are somewhat nearby and so trains blew there whistles all night. It sounded as if they were in the room...making it difficult to sleep.

Room Tip: There is probably no good room due to the train problem
