My husband and I and 2 teenage kids had a wonderful 2 days here at the end of our holiday. The hotel looks modern from the outside but is traditionally decorated inside. The suites have good sized rooms with plenty space for storing luggage (we had 6 suitcases and golf clubs) and are complete with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, large tvs in both rooms, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. There is a complimentary Manager's Reception every evening where you are able to enjoy a large selection of wines, beers and liquor, the perfect way to start your evening. The breakfast also complimentary offers a good variety of cooked food, cereals, fruit, pastries and a selection of hot and cold drinks which can be enjoyed in the beautiful tropical surroundings inside the hotel. The luxury pool area also in a lush setting has plenty of comfortable chairs. The hotel has a complimentary business centre (computers, printer & internet access) and a small gift shop. Walgreens and small shopping centre with a Publix are a few minutes walk away. You would need transport for the beach and major shopping but there are plenty of eating places surrounding the hotel (Outback, Chucks, Waxy O'Connor-Irish Pub and many more). Would definitely return.

  • Liked — The beautiful tropical surroundings throughout
  • Disliked — Too many school parties hogging the spa

We had received a fabulous travel agent pricing on our 2 room suite during our stay of two nights. Our plans were to stay a few days and then board our cruise ship in Miami. The property was worth the drive as it was more than we could of asked for. It's like a mini resort. This hotel is perfectly nestled between nightlife, shopping, near the beach, and by the Fort Lauderdale Airport. We self parked, for $3 more you could opt for Valet parking. Once inside there is so much to do. We arrived during the high point of the evening reception. You could order some wine, champaigne, mixed drinks or even Shirley Temple's all for no charge, you could also tip the generous server. The decor is very lush green with loud waterfalls in the lobby area. Our room was on the 11th floor (12 total floors). There are elevators situated all around the property for convenience. Our room was pretty sizeable with plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 children. The room had contemporary colors and decor but a very small balcony. The room had two tvs, one in the main room and one in the livingroom. The kids immediately changed to go to the outside pool. You need your room key for access and any other gates around the well secured property. The grounds were beautiful and well landscaped. We passed by a manmade pond of very tropical fish of various pretty colors. We also saw an iguana. The palm trees situated all over was such a nice change of scenery as compared to Virginia. The pool was full length with a waterfall. There was also a lukewarm hot tub. There were plenty of outside living room styled patio furniture and full umbrellas to block the sun. We ordered pizza and it took only minutes for it to arrive so we ate by the pool area. Once dark the outside lighting comes on. In the mornings, a wonderfully complimentary hot breakfast is served buffet style, so just help yourself, one morning we had hot pancakes the other morning was french toast sticks. You can take your picks from an omelet made just for you to cereal, muffins, and eggs and bacon. We went to the local Publix store for cool water and sun visors to head to the beach. We took the Trolley which was absolutely free since it was Thursday and we took it straight to Fort Lauderdale beach where we hung out for the entire day. We ate at a restaurant on the beach front and they're all pretty pricey. The beach was clean and the weather was perfect The kids swam all day long, don't forget your sunblock! The trolley picked us up and dropped us off right near the hotel. We headed back in the evening and the kids headed straight to the pool to end the day. This crazy guy made it over the fence and started talking to many of the property guests inappropriately. Security had to be called, remember I said, "well secured property"...well...that's what we thought. We were pretty uncomfortable with this guy around our kids and we left to go back to the room. My sister and I went to work out at the Fitness Center on the 12th floor which was pretty nice with the latest machines and tv's on each machine. We got a pretty good workout. There is also a business center that you can access with your room key to access the internet, print or even fax. There was also flat panel screens and easy internet access in the lobby area. Our last night we walked to get some chinese food in the area as restaurants are located on the same strip. The nights were beautiful and the check out process was a breeze. We would definately stay here again.

This hotel is fine. It's very close to the airport and the beach, and there's a shopping center directly behind the property. The location is very convenient.
This property has a beautiful pool area with waterfalls, a pond with koi, and a very relaxing tropical atmosphere.
The staff is helpful and friendly. A small bathroom problem in my suite was almost immediately taken care of by maintenance.
The new fitness room is great. All the equipment appears to be brand new.
However, I can't recommend that this hotel is outstanding because the carpets in the public areas and in my suite are crying out to be cleaned. I saw stains everywhere.
Self parking can be an adventure. The parking lot is very large, but there are a lot of construction vehicles and storage trailers taking up room that otherwise could be used by guests' cars. (The hotel is re-doing the restaurant and it looks like they've gutted that area). There is more than enough parking, but it's a long walk most nights from the far reaches of the lot past the garbage dumpsters if you come back even a little late. There is a fee for both valet and self parking which put me off a bit especially when I had to pass by the smelly garbage to get to the hotel door.
A great hotel for families (the majority of the guests seemed to be a part of some group or other) but not ideal for the business traveller what with kids running around until all hours and people shouting to one another across the atrium. However, the high speed access worked great, although there was a charge of approximately $10 per day for the service.
The complimentary breakfast is bountiful, but get down early because it does get crowded.
This is not a five star hotel, but it is fine. Except for the carpet the suite was clean, had a refrigerator and microwave, and 2 flat screen TV's. I would stay here again, but with a lowered expectation.

prices were different on every website. best price was on hotel website and even that changed a few times prior to my booking. great breakfast included and cocktails and snackies between 5-7 were great! no charge for gin and tonics and red wine! really. pool was wonderful, large and uncrowded. suite was perfect. main part of hotel was showing some age, but all in all we were quite happy and close to port everglades to jump on cruise ship.

  • Liked — location,breakfast,free cocktail hour
  • Disliked — poor service for poolside lunch

“We Loved the beautiful remodeled Embassy Suites Ft. Lauderdale”
I was offered a GREAT travel agent rate at The Embassy Suites Hotel in Ft Lauderdale Fla.
We stayed there 1 night after coming from a Cruise on Carnival. We arrived early Monday morning (am), and were given a room immediately!

Cynthia and Delores at the front desk are EXCELLENT!!! They made sure we knew about everything the hotel has to offer. They also gave us great shopping, restaurant and directions on how to take the bus to the shopping mall. The hotel is close to several shops and restaurants.

This is a hotel is BEAUTIFUL. The pool area is incredible with plants and waterfall and plenty of seats, it reminds you of a tropical paradise.
The room are suites with 2 rooms, a mini bar with sink, flat panel TV and beautifully decorated. Beds were great and comfy.

The atrium is gorgeous and open to all rooms from floor to ceiling and looks like a tropical paradise.

They also served and exceptional breakfast buffet for free with pastries, eggs. omelets, grits, pancakes, fruit etc, etc. Really great. The Managers Reception was great. The Margaritas were excellent.

Everything is within walking distance. We walked to Five Guy’s for dinner. The burgers were GREAT!!! We also stopped by Publix for drinks and snacks.

We will definitely stay here again. It was a pleasure to spend the night here.

Take advantage of this great hotel when in Ft. Lauderdale. It's the best.
