My husband and I stayed at this hotel Sep 22-26, 2008. We were able to snag a friends and family rate through an acquaintance and booked it for $89 a night. Honestly, it was a nice hotel, emphasis on the word "nice." It was not a GREAT hotel. I would recommend staying there only if on a budget or if you are able to get a great rate. The valet staff however, was exceptional. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, but very very small. Also, the hotel does not have balconies on any room. While staying in FL, it is nice to be able to sit on a balcony at night and enjoy the view/breeze. We also had a package delivered to us during our stay, but the front desk did not inform us of this and, when we were made aware, asked us to come down and retrieve it and did not deliver it to our room. The location is great as others have mentioned. As Ft. Lauderdale appears more and more like a ghost town, at least the location here provided us with more options for food etc. To summarize, it is certainly not a BAD hotel, it just isn't great. Having previously stayed at The Atlantic, I much preferred that. On a more positive note, we had poor weather one day and went to the gem that is the Sawgrass Mall. GREAT outlet pricing and only a short drive away!
