Stayed at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale beach for 2 nights while in town for a concert. When booking the room, requested an ocean view room. Upon arrival, was assigned an intercoastal view room. Informed the VERY POLITE desk clerk of the original booking and quickly was assigned an ocean view room.
First hotel stay that I feel I could have walked bare foot in the rooms as they were so clean!!! It seemed that wherever one went, cleaning staff was everywhere. Excellent addition of the flat screen TV's and granite countertops!! Felt that the hotel should have been rated higher by AAA.
Coffee available 24 hours, nice to take a cup with you to walk along the very clean beach across the street.

Heard good things & had some Marriott points so decided to give it a try. Got a room w/zero view, but didn't mind since it was only one night and it was mini-suite w/king bed and stylish frosted french doors to separate bedroom area from sitting area. Each had it's own flat screen t.v. All new, recently renovated. Directly across from beach & walking distance to restaurants/coffee shops, etc. Sand was white, ocean was turquoise, lounge chairs rent for $10/day.

Apparently Marriott is in the process of upgrading the level of its Courtyard brand to be equal to what a regular Marriott used to be (and newer regular Marriott's are now edging upward toward Ritz Carlton status). I never thought I'd stay at one of these, hotel snob that I am, but I was impressed. Also, staff was friendly. One thing I didn't like was no safe box in room --safe behind reception desk was a pain in my tush. Would stay again if unable to get a discount rate at the St. Regis. (smile)

We had an oceanfront room with a king bed. The views were really wonderful. The layout of the room was odd, but in a good way. We had a corner unit and the entire southside was floor to cieling windows along a hallway. I thought the room was very spacious and decorated nicely (a little bit too colorful for my taste, but it is south Florida). The room was very clean and the bedding was of good quality. The outside bar made geat frozen drinks that were strong and the atmosphere was good. The front desk people were courteous and helped with dinner suggestions. Access to the beach is very easy. Overall I would stay again if in FLL. The only negative was that both the outdoor and inside bars close very early, even on the weekends.

This was not our first stay at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach. We stay here every time we are over from Naples visiting Fort Lauderdale. The manager Mike Fatta is OUTSTANDING! He is on top of his staff and is visible around the hotel making sure everything is flawless pitching in when necessary. He goes out of his way to make sure your needs and wants are met. The entire staff is friendly and accomodating. The hotel is spotless and the rooms and view beautiful. John the bartender in the Tiki Bar is awesome....Once the friendly valet park your car you are steps away from the beach and all the activies...If you are a visitor of Fort Lauderdale and have never stayed here, this is a most...You will love it......Kudos to Mike!
