This is my 3rd hotel in the Ft. Lauderdale area in 3 days since my business trip started. All I can say is "WOW". This hotel is so far the nicest one I've had and the cheapest ($99 for a double although I only wanted a single). The room is very clean and modern looking. The furniture appears very new. Even the bathroom is nicely done. I enjoyed such details as having a shower head with different water stream settings and the 6 bath towels - and they weren't those thin cheap ones that have a ton of starch in them. There are plenty of lamps in the room and the room can be very well lit. They also have wireless internet - major plus.

The young lady at the front desk was very helpful in pointing me to the local restaurants and she even called me 30 minutes later to ask me if my room was ok. I really like this hotel. Its so clean that I don't mind walking barefooted on the carpet or on the tiles in the bathroom (though prolly not a good idea in hotels). I think I'll stay here for the duration of my trip and commute the distance to Miami everyday until its time for me to head back home. I wished I had found this Days Inn last night - last night I stayed at the Days Inn on Broward Blvd (what a DUMP!!).

This hotel is also convienient to a lot of things: restaurants, generic shopping, I-95 etc.

My only complaint: The elevator was out of order and I had to hump it up 3 flights of stairs to room 301. The sign said "use other elevator" but I was too tired to go look for it. Besides, the excercise didn't hurt.

This isn't the Ramada or the Hilton but for the price, I absolutely like this Days.

Got a room here for a night before our flight back to NY. Paid $48 for a 2 Queen bedroom which I feel was a very good deal.

This hotel may not look great from outside (a motel feel, right on highway, old elevators), but rooms were done up very nicely and seems newly renovated. They had a fridge, microwave, safe etc which is very good on that price. Though we found the nearby area bit shabby, we did not have any safety issues.

Would recommend if you're just looking for a decent and cheap place.

Arrived at 3 am due to delayed flight and slid my pre-paid receipt through the window. The receptionist told me she had almost cancelled my reservation, even though I had pre-paid. I had requested the quietest room. We got a room so noisy from the traffic that it was impossible to sleep. The next day I called the office and requested a room at the back. After an hour they told me to come down to the office, that they had only booked me for one night. I replied that I had given them a copy of the reservation for four nights. They said they didn't have it. I showed it to them on my computer. Still, that was not good enough. They told me to call the booking agency. After about 10 minutes of fussing around, I told them that I was a travel agent and had booked it myself. Suddenly, everything was OK and they gave me a quieter room at the back. Room was OK but no HBO, internet worked fine. Wouldn't stay there again. Too noisy from Amtrak.

I stayed here about 3 years ago when I first visited fort lauderdale and did not have a great stay. I guess they renovated the hotel because all I can say now is WOW!!! Chatting with the front desk staff I found out that the hotel has new owners. Great rooms, everything looks new and perfect condition. Staff all dressed professionally and were really friendly. Awesome breakfast and very cool lobby. They were actually just finishing up some of the renovation efforts in the lobby when I was there. The hotel is located besde I-95, but it is only 3 miles from the beach - so, for the $$$ you cant beat the value for price paid (in my opinion). I look forward to coming back to fort lauderdale in the future and if there are rooms available at the day inn oakland park, trust me, I WILL be staying with them again!!!!
