Now after reading some of the reviews on here before I went to Ft. Lauderdale I was a bit nervous to say I even wanted to stay here. We ended up getting room 515 which turned out to be quite nice. We didn't have any bugs, no leaks from the ceiling or toliet, and yes it was quite noisy due to I-95 being right next door, almost. But if your actually tired that noise doesn't bug you at all. I found the gas station right next door to have some of the cheapest gas prices which was great. The rooms smelled good after our cleaning lady was done, like lemons. Never saw any bugs anywhere near that place, thankfully.
The pool wasn't clean but I didn't need to worry about that since the water was freezing cold. You could still lay around & sun tan by the pool very lovely looking. The had free breakfast every morning from 7am-10am or something like that. You had to tell the front desk if you had a car because they gave you a parking pass. Good security that walked around the building during all hours of the day. Very friendly staff when we did see them.
But the odd thing about this hotel is how some people lived there all the time? I don't know but those people did not bug you or make any noise. It was a bit loud on the weekend since it seemed everyone was drunk but out of the 5 nights I stayed only the Friday & Saturday seemed to be really annoying. Since we were so close to downtown. If you timed it good and didn't drive near the hotel at bad traffic time, it works out better that way you won't miss the hotel. That might happen since coming from I-95 you can't see any signs.
If I were ever to go back I would stay here for sure.
