Stayed 4/13 in room 212.

The bed is always the first thing we check when entering a room. That way the maids are still around to resolve any issues. As you can see by the pictures, the bed was disgusting. This was rectified with a call to the front desk, although the changing process took 90 minutes. What was worse (that I didn't get a picture of) was the yellow urine-stained mattress pad that the maid was going to leave on the bed!! To the dismay of the maid, I inspected every sheet, linen and pillow case that went back on that bed. And yes, they were all clean.

Sofa was not clean and I felt uncomfortable sitting on it. Comment card had stains on it, as did the phone books which were in the dresser drawers along with a sheet (clean?). Other parts of the room were ok. A/C worked well. Some furnishings already in need of repair. Bathroom adequate. Good shower with plenty of hot water.

Breakfast was fine. Took a look in the fitness room- it was not clean either. Pool looked nice but did not go in.

To the credit of La Quinta, we were given a free night voucher. Whether or not we use it is something else... not back at this one for sure.

Don't expect too much here but a clean and quiet room. I stayed here on recent business trip to save some money and I have no regrets. I had a issue with the TV not working and they immediately put me in new room. I would have to say that this is a 2 Star location even with the recent renovations. I would return.

As part of a national chain, this motel has all that you might expect, and more. It's not inexpensive, but somewhat lower priced than comparable accommodations in the area.

We stayed at La Quinta for five nights, then left for one night and returned for one more. We were able to leave some of our luggage in one of their offices while we were away, and got the same room as previously upon our return.

Our large room had two double beds, a desk and chair, dresser, closet, clock, mini-fridge, microwave and a very large television set. There was a small patio outside overlooking the pool. Although there was no safe in the room, one was available at the reception desk.

The bathroom had a tub, good shower, a hair dryer and lots of soft towels.

The motel lobby has comfortable seating, and we were able to meet there with some relatives who came to visit us.

There is a guest laundry, which isn't advertised, and we didn't find out about it until our last day there, so never got to use it.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was more than adequate, with waffles, hard-cooked eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.

Check-in at the motel is 1:00 p.m., and check-out is at noon, so you actually get a few more hours in the room than in most places (if you can take advantage of them).

There is an exercise room of sorts, with one treadmill and a weight machine.
The reception staff was very friendly and efficient.

“A great hotel in ft. lauderdale”

The La Quinta is located right off I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale and is very easy to get to. There are dozens of food joints within a mile drive (most are low end). And the location is no more than a 10 minute drive from some of the finest shops and restaurants.

This is an older LaQuinta which has been completely renovated. Everything is new, everything is spotless. Normally when I travel to South Florida I expect the worst on hotel staffs. You know the surly - I am only doing my job and not an ounce more attitude. The people here were genuinely helpful and friendly.

One potential bad point, the tub in my room could have been updated, there was a bit of rust around the drain. A small point that was clearly offset by all the positives, but if you are ultra picky this might be a turn off.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with kids. Ask for a room with a patio door near the pool. the courtyard is very nice. And the pool is great and nearly unused (as this is primarily a busiinessman hotel).

“One of the better hotels in the area”

La Quinta Cypress Creek Inn

Jan 11, 2008

Renovations are complete and the rooms are fresh and clean. Housekeeping is good as far as cleanliness is concerned although the absent-minded housekeeper often forgot to replace coffee, tissues, etc. Bed was super comfortable. Staff was nice too. Breakfast is so-so but adequate. Overall a good choice if you get a good rate
