I just needed somewhere to stay for one night and using points from a credit card I was able to book a room for $50.00. At first I thought, 'what an amazing deal' after looking at the pictures online. Well, I didn't realize that there were two different buildings for the hotel and from appearances, the back building is not as nice as the building on the beachside. When I arrived, I had a hard time figuring out where to park first of all. When I went to the front desk, the girl was hard to understand and even though I had paid for everything upfront (according to the website), she told me I owed $7.00 for resort fees? So, I had to produce a credit card. I am sure glad I had one with me. Needless to say, I did not understand what the additional fee was for. Once I went up to my room, when I put the card in and went to open the door, it was stuck. I had to literally put my shoulder into it to get it open. It appeared as if they put an old door handle onto a different door. The inside of the room was just ok. Old but ok carpeting, bathroom was nice but only one bath towel in there. Many of the travelers pictures are correct as to the looks of things like the door being crappy at the bottom. I literally walked about 25 steps around the corner outside of the hotel to be on the beach so that was amazing! The parking area seemed ok. When I walked down the hallway to get a pepsi from the vending machine, it was sold out. I had to check all the floors and only the 5th floor had pepsi in the machine. After paying $2.00 for a pop, the bottle came out dented and sadly the pop was flat. I have to imagine those machines haven't been changed out in awhile. In the morning, while my hands were full, I was trying to exit to the parking lot from the hotel and was unable to get the door open. I walked to the front desk and the guy came down to help me and he was unable to get it open as well. This was a bit of an inconvenience because I had to walk all the way around the building to get to my car. The saving grace here was, I needed to print something off from my email and the gentleman at the front desk offered for me to use their computer and printer. I was so pleased and appreciative! I traveled from Ohio so I was not familiar with anything in the area.
I cannot speak of the rooms that are beachside and would be curious to know if they are better than the ones in the back building.
One thing I can say is that it was quiet. I slept very well and the sheets and pillows were clean.

Thank you for your response on Trip Advisor. We appreciate that you took the time to write a review for us. To begin with, we do have two buildings for our hotel. The Main Building is located right across the street from the beach and the Beach Building is located right on the beach. When a guest checks in, depending on how they made the reservation, the resort fee will be required to be paid. The resort fee covers breakfast, WiFi, parking, and pool towels. In regards to the vending machine, it is repaired and restocked by the Pepsi company. I have seen him come in from time to time myself and restock the machine and call for any needed repairs. After reading this comment I will call him and he will get the issue you came across dealt with. I am glad to hear that you had a good sleep, however, as that is one of the main goals at our facility. Once again, thank you for your comments.
