Why forget it why!!! Because my wife and myself were booked already at the Sea Club in Fort Lauderdale when we read and got scared from all those negative reviews. Since it was too late to change our booking we decided to check-in at the Sea Club and let me tell you I was suprised to find out that the hotel is very clean, rooms are renovated with new carpets, new furniture, new airconditioning, new TV's etc..etc..
I asked the maid "how often do you change the sheets?" her answer was "every day sir" I said " but we will stay 5 nights" her answer "sir it doesn't matter we are changing the sheets every morning like in a five star hotel".
That was a suprise for me to stay in a Three star hotel and get the service of a Five star and on top of it paying only $103.00 a night.
The Front Desk people were very friendly specialy Mathew and Ronen and I asked them about changing the sheets every day they said "we had guests in the past that said that they didn't get service, and in order to avoid it the GM ordered to change the linens and towels every day".
There is no doubt that the hotel has the best location, the people at the Deck restaurant are very friendly and the food is superb!
I would summerize my visit as a very good vacation, in a very good price, and I highly reccommed this property!!!!!!!!!

OK so after reading all the reviews on this little hotel, we were a bit worried. We went with the attitude "if we expect the worst , it can't be any worse". With that said, we entered the Sea Club at approx. 2:00 pm on a Sat. afternoon. Our check in went quick and smooth. The lobby area wasn't huge but it looked nice. We grabbed our luggage and headed upstairs to our rooms. Most of us chose to use the stairs , as the elevator is very small. But not as scary as others made it seem.
We entered our room. Nothing fancy but it was clean. I did notice a slight musty odor. Nothing to get too concerned about. Like i said it was slight. Bathroom was small. But who needs a large bathroom. There are shelves to set your things on.
We then all gathered in the lobby area and crossed the street to the beautiful beach. What a great location !!!!! We wandered down the beach to a nice shopping area that had restaurants, and a Fat Tuesdays, Hooters etc. . Had a few beverages and then headed back to our hotel .
We had dinner on the "Deck" . This is a great place to have a few drinks or a meal and enjoy the beautiful scenery . Like I said the beach is directly across the street .
We didn't use the pool. It looked clean. We just didn't have time. We used this hotel as a pit stop pre cruise. The front desk staff were very helpful in getting us a shuttle to the port for the next day. $7 pp. This also went very smooth. If we cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale again. I would stay at the Sea Club. We spent our last few hours sitting on the "Deck" having a few cocktails and conversing with other guests. Everyone seemed to having a great time. I will let you know, I work in the Travel Industry. As this is not a five Star hotel. It certainly has a warm friendly feeling. I would recommend it to clients. But definately dont't expect the Ritz. It is more of a Mom & Pop ran beach hotel. Don't worry, it's not that bad !!!

My wife and daughter and I spent a mid week vacation at the Ft. Lauderdale Sea Club in January, right after Marin Luther King weekend. I must say, the location can't be beat. The ocean is right there; spectacular shopping is within walking distance at the Galleria, and so are many restaurants. We had a rental car, and while we took advantage of the hotel's parking, we really didn't have to drive anywhere.

The rates at the Sea Club were the best we could find in the area, especially considering what we got: a room big enough for the three of us, and friendly staff for whom our vacation fun seemed a priority. I am sure we would have enjoyed fancy amenities like bathrobes in the rooms and huge flat screen TV's, which I see popping up in my business travels, but we were not looking to be impressed with frills. We just wanted a good time that we could afford, and the Sea Club really came through.

We booked this hotel for the night of the super bowl. After traveling, we wanted a nice, decent place to stay. This hotel is sooooo run down. The rooms are disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ceramic is peeling off of the sinks and tubs. The carpet is not even put down at the walls and where it meets the sliding doors. The hallways are dirty ( carpet, walls, etc. ). I wouldn't trust the staff with any thing valuble. I certainly wouldn't eat at this establishment. No room service, front desk very rude. You would think that at that time of the super bowl, with all the people in town, that they would want to put their best foot forward. Not At All. Please, we are begging you, Do Not Stay At This Hotel. The health department should shut the place down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can always say hindsight is 20/20. We are hoping we can warn people before they make the same mistake we made. The people who own this hotel are more interested in making money, not putting any money back into their establishment, or providing a decent place for tourist. They don't care if people return, or if they are unhappy with their stay. Please stay away!!!

We checked into the hotel on feb 5 and after we checked in I asked where do we park the car. The gentleman working the front desk proceeded to talk to me as if he was an auctioneer. I didn't even bother to ask him to repeat himself. When we got to our room it smelled as if we where staying inside a YMCA. The only picture hanging on the wall looked as if it was about to fall off because it was noticably not straight. I have seen gas station bathrooms that looked cleaner than the one in our room. The bed linens where cheap and not comfortable at all! There where staines all over the carpet, the curtains & the walls. I was very disapointed because the hotels web site shows beautiful photos of the hotel which I later found to be very decieving. I would never stay at The Sea Club Resort again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else too either.
